!! Mr. Soprano 05-22-2005, 04:55 PM First of, I admit to this thread being kind of stupid. But reallity is that King, Arum, Merchant, Lederman; All of these guys are passed his retirement age.
Who do you think is the first to go.

good thread
I think Arums past his prime
King might be old, but his **** is working good...
Arum is past his prime
good bye mr. arum
Tha Greatest 05-22-2005, 04:59 PM Merchant is in his prime...
1.) lederman---seeya
2.) Merchant---seeya
3.) Arum---who cares
4.) King---I would be pissed. I want him to stay.
jack_the_rippuh 05-22-2005, 05:01 PM Merchant is in his prime...
Agreed...
...King will be the first to go.
Memorex 05-22-2005, 05:04 PM Agreed...
...King will be the first to go.
noway the guy on occasion forgets fighters names and studders alot he's way past his prime
Eric Persson 05-22-2005, 05:06 PM Merchant is hilarious, I don't see why he deserves as much hate as he gets.
Manny_P 05-22-2005, 05:09 PM I hope this aint a thread on who will die first, cuz that aint good.
SacTown1 05-22-2005, 05:11 PM Merchant is in his prime...
In his prime, in terms of announcing or boozing??? Possibly both....
Did you guys notice that Don was flipping out on the HBO in-ring producer for trying to keep him off-camera during Lamon's interview? That was some funny *****, I wouldn't be shocked if Don goes back to Showtime exclusively
anyhow, Arum's got 2-3 years left, Don will promote until he's 6 feet deep.... Merchant is like the handicap guy from Office Space, they probably stopped paying him a decade ago but he still shows up to work....Lederman's got nothing better goin' on so he'll stick around too
Tha Greatest 05-22-2005, 05:13 PM When a fight gets boring, I just listen to Larry Merchant and Lampley cuz they always got somethin good to say
!! Mr. Soprano 05-22-2005, 05:36 PM I hope this aint a thread on who will die first, cuz that aint good.
No.. Just as who retires..
I think King has made his multi-mils, but he will do this **** till he dies of a heart attack.
He's still having fun! Although I do have a problem with him having too much power/leverage and control in the boxing world.
!! Mr. Soprano 05-22-2005, 05:39 PM Larry Merchant is my favorite.. but as much as I would hate to see him go.. I think his time has come
What Time Is IT? 05-22-2005, 05:58 PM I refuse to participate in this thread as Roy Jones has not been listed amongst the other *******s in this poll. :luvbed:

And just why is Roy an *******? Or any others?
FYI,
If it wasn't for King.. I don't think that Boxing as it exists today would be the same! Look at any other country other than US, boxing is such a minority in all of sports

Wow, you don't take sarcasm too well, do you?
ejk22 05-22-2005, 10:32 PM I actually wish that King and Arum could die either by car crash or some form of assassination.
xKillingJokex 05-22-2005, 11:20 PM Merchant's time has come...he has to go..he annoys the hell outta me..sometimes i wonder..if he knows where hes at.
jackhole 05-23-2005, 12:11 AM Merchant needs to stay. The man knows his stuff and is hilarious to listen to. He also asks questions in post fight interviews that many men would not have the balls to. I love the guy, he's HBO's edge over ShoBox.
King is still bringing the big fights. Lederman, although annoying, is pretty much on the money. Later Mr. Arum. Your time has come.
Anghell 05-23-2005, 12:15 AM i would love to see Arum go. He always *****es when he fighter looses. He talks so much ****, it makes me sick. At least when Don King talks ****, it makes me laugh.
Slipx 05-23-2005, 12:18 AM don or arum look like they'll die soon, arum overweight and don overweight and smokes cigars.
!! Mr. Soprano 05-23-2005, 12:35 AM Guys,
you all have bad intentiones..
As I mentioned, I don't mean the "who goes first" = dies.
The "who goes first", I mean retires
deuce_drop 05-23-2005, 03:46 AM this almost seems like the boxing dead pool......i would like to see arum and merchant go do to there left wing old school mentalities....now granted, the old school part boxing needs, but, it also needs to evolve and incorporate the two... a nice blend of now and then to make things exciting. arum and merchant are basking in yesteryear, and thats fine, but, maybe thats a lil part of why boxing has been in the dumps of late or until late i should say....there has been alot of good things happening with boxing and Most( not all ) have been done without these two....thats just my opinion. either way all names mentioned in this thread are gonna be outsed cause the changing of the guard is happening. all we need are people( as fans ) are people who really want good match ups and care to keep this sport alive, instead of ****ing everybody they can for cash....i.e. the fans and boxers.....fans and boxers are the only people who get ****ed in boxing.....never promoters or t.v. stations and ****, just the people who actually invest in boxing, and give a ****....!!! it's a love hate thing going on...
