i think he underestimated tua in that fight, he didn't think a short guy like tua had the reach to get to him the way he did, one thing about that fight which was unlucky from ruiz's point of view was the fact that tua hit him with that last brutal punch while ruiz was moving around, that usually dosn't happpen

I mean winning rounds against Tua is not that hard if you can stay up. If you look at alot of his fights most of his knockouts are come from behind knock outs. Ruiz is a big guy, but Tua is a big guy as well. Do you think Ruiz has the strength to have his way with him (i.e. tie him up, put his weight on him to wear him down, etc.)?

I dont think Tua will ever advance his career to the point to earn a title fight with Ruiz. But if he did I think the additional 9 years of exp will make it a completely diff story. Ruiz faced other big punchers since Tua and is still champ.
