View Full Version : Lol @ Roy Jones
TyrantT316 05-22-2005, 10:01 AM You remember when they spoke about Brewster getting a new trainer who said he just needed to be motivated?
It was funny hearing Jones have a field day with that about how fighters perform when motivated or not...
then after the fight says "shows there IS a difference whena fighter is motivated and when he is NOT!" while looking at the camera...
kind of felt like a "See I only lost because I was NOT motivated and THAT! is what I mean!"

Its kind of true though, if your not motivated boxing is the worst sport to be in.
Super_Lightweight 05-22-2005, 11:02 AM I guess I don't see what's so funny about stating a simple truth.
TyrantT316 05-22-2005, 11:21 AM I see, you guys think I am a hater...contrary, I am a huge fan of Jones...I guess we all just find different things amusing...

My thoughts exactly.
spinksjinx 05-22-2005, 11:36 AM He is just stating that the was Roys' way of using that as his excuse for losing, nothing harmful or funny about it.

I noticed that too....... Roy Jones just loves himself so much... :D
NiGe2011 05-22-2005, 01:42 PM My laugh at Roy Jones moment was during the Trinidad fight when he kind slipped up and dropped the f-bomb on the air saying- "Tito is so ****ed in the head right now"- you could hear Lampley's muffled chuckles as well as mine aloud!

Ya it is too funny, he promotes himself every chance he gets.
Im surprised larry the hater hasnt called him out for it.
He is always saying **** like that is why this and that and obviosly talking about himself. It always brings a my smile to my face cause I would be doing the same **** and that is why it is funny to me.
What Time Is IT? 05-22-2005, 03:56 PM Roy Jones is a freaking tool.
According to him, 'RJ' was going to show up to take care of Tarver in the second fight. 'RJ' got his ass stretched and all of a sudden it's "I can't get up for fights like this".
Now Roy must be really motivated for Glen Johnson. Escaping with a decision and getting FUBAR'ed in his last two fights has him really wanting to prove something....Uh, what was that, Roy? You now got knocked out by Johnson because you have nothing to prove? Whatever you say, Roy.
If getting his ass blistered twice in a row isn't motivation enough, then Roy's ***** ass should retire and spare all of us the excuses.

What round? I did not notice that.
jack_the_rippuh 05-22-2005, 04:16 PM I like Roy, but that excuse is almost as ridiculous as the "Everything was just too perfect.." excuse for losing to Tarver the second time.
jack_the_rippuh 05-22-2005, 04:18 PM I know HBO would be the last network to trip about the f-bomb, considering they turn into a ****o channel after 11:00pm
NiGe2011 05-22-2005, 04:57 PM What round? I did not notice that.
Not sure what round exactly, the middle rounds, like 4-6 somewhere I think. I did not notice it at first either, I had to rewind the TV to make sure...

You're reaching here...but RJJ speaks the truth, doesn't matter if he was undefeated or not.
TheGreat1 05-22-2005, 06:11 PM i think he was mostly talking about the glen figh, because he was motivated for tarver but got hit with a good shot, for glen he just wasn't there that night
What Time Is IT? 05-22-2005, 06:16 PM Yeah, lord knows he didn't have anything to get up for after getting ko'd by Tarver.
