MARKBNLV 03-07-2010, 03:26 PM Roy Jones jr Othello 03-07-2010, 03:35 PM Edwin Valero wins this. One more round 03-07-2010, 11:03 PM You don't make it to the top with just physical ability. Sure there were some great fighters whose physical assets made up a big part of their style, but they had skills and had to put in hard work too. You fall way short of the top level just relying on your talent. Jabroni 03-07-2010, 11:14 PM Ricky Hatton? Valuev? PED User 03-07-2010, 11:39 PM Foreman totally fell in love with his power. He was never the most skilled guy but he did use better skills in his younger years. He picked his shots better and was more controlled (he went back to using a better, more efficient style when he was old too). After beating Frazier for the title, he just looked crude as hell in the ring and relied on his heavy hands. The most prevalent boxer though is RJJ in my opinion. I would say that his reflexes and physical abilities made him a better fighter, in the 1960s. But, he was still at the top of the heavyweight division in his comeback years, when those physical abilities decreased. Shows you just how much of a great fighter he was. sonnyboyx2 03-08-2010, 03:39 PM Roy Jones Jr. is the most talented & skilled fighter in history Devils Advocate 03-08-2010, 07:15 PM Roy Jones jr that is the truest answer, I don't know why he had a great boxing pedigree CarlosG815 03-08-2010, 09:47 PM I would say that his reflexes and physical abilities made him a better fighter, in the 1960s. He was able to adjust and turn into an entirely different fighter and still remain a dominant force. DeepSleep 03-09-2010, 03:04 AM .....Zab Judah I was just about to type this up. I get sick to my stomach watching Judah try to "Box". So much wasted talent... |
