I can't believe I ever considered Golota a legitimate contender. I also can't believe that I thought that Wlad vs Brewster was fixed, I now see it probably wasn't. Golota is a boxer, and I respect him for being very classical and technical, but Brewster might just be who we are looking for in the heavyweight division. A fast punching slugger, someone who reminds us of the classic tyson, is what everyone was looking for. I guess we might have found our man, but was this just a one night thing? As for Golota, it is his time to retire.

i don't think it was a 1 night thing because he has KO'd 7 of his last 8, the only person that made it 12 rd, was his best friend, who he admitted he let his friendship get in the way of business

Golota seemed cold ... almost waiting ....you hit me first then I will hit you...too much co-operation on his part. Brewster went with the best game plan and executed it to perfection

Yea I think I'd throw in some points in the download section to hopefully get some of his old fights. I must admit that I haven't heard of Brewster at all until he fought Wlad. Do you think he has the capabilities of being as electrifying as mike tyson was?

no because Brewster will fight the best out there, including good boxers like bryd and maybe even toney. Where as Mike stayed away from the good boxers, unless they where already past their primes. But he will make noise if he comes in like he did tonight.

We might be back in the crazy boat again! If he fights like that, there is going to be some problems for his opponents. He even said it.

"I like to think of myself as a lion first and foremost. When im hungry I have to eat. Whoever it is, you put in front of me....will be my eat next"

Iron mike is definitely another animal ... in his prime unbeatable... with the correct head movement and focus .. watch out. If anyone has questions take a look down memory lane .... the double hook Iron mike would throw was a thing of beauty

Great1, why you telling the truth about Tyson again, you know the nuthuggers will condem you for it?
We know Tyson only fought name fighters once they were shot but the followers just get upset! Humor them, Tyson is the greatest, a legend in his own mind!

Well...... I was hoping Golota would finally get a belt after the questionable loss to Ruiz and draw to Byrd. Brewster was the better man tonight and he earned the win.

It's too bad for Golota, I thought he deserved to win after a long career in which he made some bad decisions and had some bad luck, but it wasn't meant to be. It looked like Brewster caught him cold and didn't let him recover. That happens sometimes in boxing, it's the nature of the sport. Golota's got nothing to be ashamed of and at 37, should walk into retirement after a great career with his head held high.

As for Brewster, he looked good, but it is what it is. It was 53 seconds that I think said more about Golota being cold than Brewster being a wrecking ball. The real Brewster is probably something between the Brewster we saw tonight and the Brewster we saw against Meehan. The one thing Brewster did accomplish, now I actually want to see his next fight regardless of his opponent. He also proved to be a classy guy and my hats off to him.

P.S. I hope McKay didn't shoot himself. ;)

im not a fan of brewster, n i'll doubt i will ever be. nothing personal, jus not a fan... but i'd be lying if i said he didn't impress me tonight. tru... golata not amazing, but in golatas last two outings he was very good. brewster has in my mind climbed up the standings of the HW division.

Golata however, i feel he should retire. i was rooting for him, n thought he would win (sadly). he had a decent career, but his frustration, n his weak chin, has pretty much made his losses.

i give respect to golata tho, cuz most fighters at 37 r not willing to come back n fight again.

where does brewster go from here tho... rahman barret n vitali already taken. byrd facing sum no name ****. ruiz is open, toney in about 3 months, and peter

IMO Peter deserves a shot. i like the way he fights, n IMO he doesn't really need a test, cuz he has already shown his skill.
Peters chin would be tested tho in this fight.

There is no doubt that those 53 secs, has made a high demand for brewster

All you need is one more vowel and you'd have a great name.

He should retire and get his head checked, he's just got too many demons riding him in the ring. I swear, he looked completely frozen in there, like a cardboard cutout.

Either Golota was just a human punching bag, or Brewster is just too awesome, he made a believer out of me.

ye golata has a tendancy to stand right in front of u, so the power punches always end up KOing him with ease

Golota may be a joke...

but he was the favorite by a big margin...

I won 80 dollars

and Brewster knocked the **** out of Golota!

I'm not even gonna comment at this point, please look at my sig. and draw your own results, I did not predict a 1st rd. KO, but tonight was no shock at all, Brewster was ready 2 fight, and Golota was WAY out of shape, there is a new king of the heavyweight ring, and it's Lamon Brewster

Top 5 heavy's

1. Lamon
2. Rock
3. Quitali
4. Byrdie
5. Louise

Big mistake of Golota for coming back in boxing. Although he won two come-back fights, in the real fights he had no luck with the judges and his las fight was a disaster he never would expected. Bye bye Golota and go back to Poland.
