I always get the late night munchies. No matter how old ive become, i still crave something juicy to eat before i go to sleep. So, if I refused to starve at night, would eating fruits like apples or bananas be OK? and what would be some things to avoid? any ideas are appreciated.

Look, as long as you don't exceed your caloric needs you won't, you can't, gain weight. it does not matter what type of food you eat or what time you eat it at if you go over your caloric limit you will gain weight weather your eating 500 extra calories of oranges or chocolate. if you want to have that snack before bed go for it we deserve these little pleasures in life BUT make adjustments during the day by cutting somthing out, its all about calories...

I use to eat a ton before i went to bed. I found that drinking a ton of water and eating a protein bar does the drink. It fills u up and u burn more than u take in that way while u sleep.

it all depends on what time you consider to be late when is this late time?
it is said that you should not eat before you go to sleep but then if you are going to take a nap does that mean you can't have lunch? Why pressure yourself and live with hunger that untill this generation has been the plauge of poverity and despair and now for us has become an extension of greed and materialism.
