Dempsey's tough, dude, i think there's few people who could take it to Foreman the way Dempsey could, Foreman would probably still win but tha ring would be soaked with blood

Foremans a big hitter and he showed that agenst frazier. But dempsey is way quciker then frazier and has more movement. I'd say dempsey wins by a TKO in the 5th round. It'd be some fight though... probably have as much action as Hagler-Hearns.

Just for the record though, the prime version of George Foreman didn't come close to weighing 245 lbs. He was closer to the 210-215 pound range, and Dempsey was closer to the 190 pound mark. The difference in size isn't going to be that much of a factor.

I think it depends on if Foreman can keep Dempsey on the outside like he did with Frazier. If Big George can push Dempsey away and in punching distance, it would be an ugly night for Dempsey. But if he can't i think Jack messes George up

Nope, contrary to what you believe, Willard didn't weigh in at 230 for his fight against Dempsey.

I have various newspaper reports on the fight, and they all say Willard weighed in at 245 ( to Dempsey's 187). Both Boxrec and the CBZ say the same thing, that he weighed 245 (since you probably don't have the fight reports, you can check those sites for yourself).

And Foreman wasn't in his prime vs. Moorer (Demsey would KILL that Foreman!), and with fantasy fights, they're usually considered prime vs. prime matchups, unless specified differently. A prime Foreman was in the 215 pound range!

That's the tale of the tape for when those two fighters won the world heavyweight title, not what they were for their title fight between each other (well, those would be Dempsey's measurements in that fight, since he won). Which means, those measurements of Willard's were taken when he fought and defeated Jack Johnson four years earlier.

Yeah, 230 was Willard's weight when he beat Johnson and won the title. He was 245 when he was savaged by Dempsey.

Foreman was a big guy at a natural 215-220 lbs but Willard was the largest HW champion in history and could absorb an incredible amount of punishment. That's why Dempsey's quick destruction of him was so unbelievable at the time. This is the guy who took Jack Johnson's best punches without flinching and yet was helpless against Dempsey's power.

Anyway I'll go with Dempsey, as long as we are talking about the young guy who fought Willard in Toledo.

Foreman was a flabby 250 when he KO'ed Moorer,who was arguably the weakest chinned heavyweight of all time. Dempsey wouldn't need 10 rounds to KO Moorer. If Foreman would have had any chance against Dempsey, it would have been during his youth. The 250 lb Foreman was too slow to be competitive with a fighter as explosive and light on his feet as Dempsey.

DEMPSEY DIDN'T have a weak chin so he could last against foreman, the only boxer in the heavyweight division who could beat Foreman was ali, he was quick and had an even better chin, even though dempsey has fought big guys he had never face a guys that hit harder then Foreman i say 5 round knock out.

I think any guy that tried to out muscle Prime George would end up seeing stars. Dempsey, Tyson, Morrison, Tua, Marciano.

in 3-5 rounds. Dempsey had an agressive swarming style that would play into the hands of foreman who had superior punching power. Dempsey also had a jaw of steel contrary to popular belief. Dempsey would become engagd in punching tradeoffs with the stronger foreman which would eventually result in his defeat by knockout

george has a steel jaw and on the other hand dempsey was knocked out in one by fireman jim flynn..alot of dempseys kos look brutal but do you know why?the gloves had alot less cussion those days and the mouth pieces didnt work as well as they do in georges time.if foreman could of had those small gloves dempsey used you would probably had to add how many of the people he knocked out died..and you cant compare dempsey to any modern heavyweight..those old clips were choppy they made everybody look quick.i dont see anyway of dempsey hurting foreman..heres a good thing for people who didnt know dempsey ducked all of the black fighters who wanted to fight him..the man was a coward..if he tried to come to brawl with foreman he gets knocked out in 1 if he tries to box foreman he goes down in 2 if he tried to run out of the ring foreman catches him and knocks him out there..foreman all the way

foreman wasnt in the 210 to 215 pound range.which foreman are you talking about?he was from the 220 to 225 range up until he lost to ali and then he went from the 225 to 230 pound range thats a 30 to 40 pound weight difference .and williard was just big.he had no skill at all.and how many times do i have to say this .boxers from those days wore smaller gloves.the less padding the more damage you will do when you land a punch.if foreman wore 6 ounce of less gloves he would of killed guys in the ring probably all the time.dempsey didnt have the greatest of chins.he was ko'd in one by fireman jim flyn.and you cant say dempsey was faster than frazier becasue boxing footage you watch of dempsey was choppy and it made everybody look fast.dempsey gets stopped in one round if he tries to bring it to foreman it he tries to box a little he goes down in 2 :boxing:
