first id like to say this is a good boxing site with high traffic which is interesting since these days everyone thinks boxing,the greatest sport to ever grace the eyes of a human being,is the devil.

the first fight in the video happened like this, my friend threw a large party at our place (which i didnt even want to do)..friday night fights was on, and this guy started talking about how UFC owns boxing ,and how even a ****ty ufc fighter could beat up a boxer with gloves, and how boxing is about to die. he was also ****ing around with my friend's girlfriend,putting his hand on her leg and her moving it off,etc,with my friend in his home state on vacation i thought this was pretty ****ty. after he said ufc owns boxing a friend of mine said he knew a boxer that would **** him up.that guy is me. i was in the kitchen making a meal ,this guy had no idea who i was. im humble. drunk ****er takes off his shirt, had a tattoo on his back and thought he was hard i guess. jumps at me saying 'you a *****' etc etc. his 4 friends carried him out as we all went outside with the video camera, and two pairs of boxing gloves, except I had to fight him with TWO LEFT GLOVES. enjoy.

2nd movie:my neighbor wanted to spar with me because he claimed to have previous boxing experience and didnt like the way i looked at his girlfriend.we became friends after this. t'was a tune up for my fight which would be the night after this.

3rd movie: i face a battle tested undefeated contender ,not gonna tell you the outcome.

btw if anyone has a better way to host this file i'm open to comments. yousendit is indeed pretty ****ty, as the link expire after 20 or so downloads.

you need a lot of work. how long you been boxing? straighter punches, better balance and you could be something. Was that a sancioned amatuer match, or the kinda stuff I used to do at a local club? That place looked a lot like Gussy's.

first id like to address the guy that said I took alot of shots in the third video.yes i did, however you should take a look at my neck right before the punches land,i move my neck with the shot,like the great larry holmes, when im facing a guy that can land at will when i'm on the ropes,especially.the guy in the third video was 8-2,he gassed out on both his losses and lost on points , won all other bouts via ko, this is why i was cautious early.you can always get lucky in there, im not going to let someone get lucky by coming in on a fresh power puncher.

you look like a tough guy, but arent a very good boxer. You have punching power but no footwork, no jab and all your punches are haymakers. To become a pro you need to get a serious coach and work at everything. Your power and your ability to take a punch are the only things going for you right now. Work on the basics of boxing and stop slugging it out. You wont last very long as a pro doing that. I also know all of this from experience and working with a pro boxer as my coach. If you can work this stuff out maybe ull become a solid boxer not just a good fighter.

The only thing street about that was that they were outside, it seemed like they agreed to fight and then fought and not just started slugging, and cmon they had gloves on so they were obviously worried about getting seriously hurt. I don't condone choking or hitting on the ground, just stating that i didn't see it as a street fight.

Cool video. I don't understand why all these haters are tryin to get on your ass for getting on top of that dude and ****. He was the one tryin to wrestle, all you did was give him a dose of his own medicine. I've been cold-****ed right in the side of my face by a guy twice my size when I was walking away after whooping his friend, so what you did wasn't cheap at all IMO. What I would suggest to you would be to increase your head movement. Don't telegraph your head movement though, a good fighter will figure it out in a matter of seconds. Keep it as unpredictable as possible.

I found ti entertaining, you looked a little weak in the first one, I think that's why you choked dude out, The second one was ****ing hilarious, I knew dude was going to take the gloves off after the second knock down....I still laughing...and honestly I thought you lost the last fight, you caught dude a couple of times, but he was touching you up something decent....One question though why are you always fighting little dudes...Do you train as a boxer?

Not war its rivalry. I can tell you new to the military, by the info you already gave, the video, and how you talk about it. That and you're a dorm rat is a dead giveaway of low rank, particularly these days when most bases basically shoving new airmen out of dorms and put them on BAS.

I dont care if you're 4 or 6 year enlistee you are about 80% guaranteed to do a tour in either osan or kunsan, and wait until you go off base to A-town the first couple times when they green bean you. Theres 500 army guys guarding the base in kunsan for example and off duty you dont know who they are usually. This is how bad it got when I was there...the army guys didnt like how the air force SPs wear berets because even though its a slightly diff color than theirs, its a big mark of pride for them as a soldier's mark. You should know that 90% of AF is basically no diff than regular folks at day jobs at an airport supporting the mission and the SPs are the closest thing to AF soldiers but still not even close. Every army is a soldier trained in a combat specialty, as well as close combat forms. Even more so marines who are killers plain and simple, but thats another story. Anyway the army soldiers would beat the **** out of the air force SPs sometimes even on duty because words would exchange over the berets. Well the base commander is a colonel and the army commander was only a lt colonel. When the base colonel complained about the army guys the army commander basically shrugged and said "oh well, what do you expect, thats what they're trained to do". And that was that. Theres no protection for AF guys in that situation because the army guys are mission essential.

You mentioned 2-3 army guys on one AF dude? Man I was talking 2-3 air force guys on one army guy! The problem with army guys is 1) they are generally the least intelligent of the armed forces and 2) they are trained to react in every situation. So even as the confrontation just begins, they already are of the mind to kick your ass and start doing it. When not in war they are restless and looking for any excuse to do so.

Funny thing I saw in lackland AFB once while tdy there. Some AF tech school trainees were marching in a huge flight, like 5 wide and maybe 30 deep. Another half platoon of army trainees, perhaps a dozen of them were heading up the road towards the same intersection. Well the army guys marched straight through the air force flight as they halted, I mean it was ridiculous. Thats from prior incidents why the air force flight was told not to say or do anything provacative in such situations.

Anyway, this is **** you learn the longer you are in. You sound like thats your first base. And you mentioned Smith Hall, well only so many bases have a dorm named that. I know one is in Minot AFB, ND. It's still stupid as hell to video tape yourself doing **** like you did and putting it on the net. first id like to address the guy that said I took alot of shots in the third video.yes i did, however you should take a look at my neck right before the punches land,i move my neck with the shot,like the great larry holmes, when im facing a guy that can land at will when i'm on the ropes,especially.the guy in the third video was 8-2,he gassed out on both his losses and lost on points , won all other bouts via ko, this is why i was cautious early.you can always get lucky in there, im not going to let someone get lucky by coming in on a fresh power puncher.

watching this, a man cannot help but to punch the other guy while on the ground...but the choking was a little bit on the extreme...if the guy below you is not throwing at you but keeps inviting you to hit him, consider HIS health because he obviously is NOT...and just pin him down and not punch at all...tell your other boys to get him off of you...there is nothing wrong with that showing mercy for the guy...you could have basically killed him there...so if in another situation like that, just tell your boys to hold him down so you can get off...

he obviously didn't have the skills to box with you, so he wanted to take it to the ground where he didn't have the skill either...lol

Actually no. I just have some pride regarding my time in uniform and people like this are exactly what is reducing the ranks to the lowest common denominator. If he wants to act this way he should join the army or marines where they will encourage it.

If you noticed, he hasn't mentioned anything else regarding him being in the military because he can tell from all the things I said that I am for real, otherwise I wouldn't know all the acronyms and experiences that I do. He knows he can be in deep **** for drunk and disorderly unsanctioned streetfighting according to UCMJ regs. If YOU had ever served in uniform you would be aware that activity like this only breaks down the discipline and cohesiveness of a unit.

Under the Patriot Act the office of special investigations, the AF's own fbi basically, could subpoena Rick for his IP address and then all that is needed is to find out which air force base is located at that ISP service point. None of this requires any warrant or probable cause any longer. I'm just saying he's about 2 steps away from a court martial because he's too new to realize what he'd doing. I've seen other airmen get ****ed for much less because they didnt know any better. Of course, had I personally caught him or his friends acting the way they did they would have all been thrown into base jail and be explaining this to their commander.

just watched the vid, nothing special i see the fuss about the first Video. After the guy tackled the 2 time i would of stoped. But thats me as far as your boxing skills atleast you try. I dunno ... It sounds like he's giving the guy a warning that he might want to listen to. Sounds like Pretender knows how much trouble the guy could get into, and the other guy didn't. He said he could report him, but he didn't say he was going to. He's just letting the guy know how easy it is for him to get caught. I mean, he's lucky Pretender isn't going to do anything about it. well seeing how it was my fifth club fight and im undefeated, i disagree.when I caught kevan with that big left hook when he was coming in trying to get to me, I could've gone for a KO and taken him out, but I wanted to last out the fight so i could get the maxiumum ring experience possible.as for the guy who said he'd hit me on the chin after i absorbed a hook, well if you are that gifted then i applaud you, but i can throw the left hook moving backwards, and youd get stuck. unless you are a pro ringer or etc

I was merely judging you by the video you posted. Skills can be taught, and you obviously have a gift for fighting if you like doing it. Big difference between being skilled and gifted. I was merely pointing out that In my opinion you should work on your handspeed by shadowboxing perhaps. You seem to be in pretty good fighting shape so perhaps your conditioning is not necessarily a factor in the styles of fights you engage in.

the thing is most middleweights are shorter than me, i was built for this weight.im not gonna be dumb and put on a bunch of weight like a roy jones, i just want to dominate at middleweight like a bernard hopkins style.sure sometimes you see the 6'1 freak middleweights but they are really rare. most of the time the guy is a few inches shorter than me.

the black guy was almost my height, his stance puts his head lower to the ground than my stance though because i fight tall, and he fights short.

You seem to be a headhunter as well...and that is not necessarily a good thing. Just pointing out also....you should grin and bear it by rushing in and attacking the body.

In those types of fights...I think a blow to the legs or groin are most effective. Outside of you freezing on the inside because of nerves, I have nothing else to critique you on.

Sure this may well be a "dumbass website" but this stupid kid is unfortunately entrusted with at least a small measure of responsibility, a result of him signing a contract and taking an oath to serve his country honorably. Instead he's a complete moron. This impacts everyone else in his wing. yeah well i dropped bombs on Quentin McCoy and i boxed him with 16 ounce gloves and let him use the 10's. why?cuz im dumb.he got some good shots in too. he's supposed to be the Army #1 165lb contender, he beat out Wilfrido Gonzalez in the armed forces championships in february earlier this year.we became friends after the fight and pushed the army/airforce rivalry bull**** aside.(cuz he got his ass beat)my buddy taped it but i want to have 1 or 2 more dorm fights for the next movie.hopefully will get into a scuffle tonight.

with some of the bad comments about this guys boxing adventures,new people that join this forum will be hesitant to post vids of them fighting so not to hear so many bad comments.not saying that everybody assesment of the fight was bad but people like pretender give the rest of the forum a bad outlook.and to threaten to get that guys supierors involved is some ***** ass ****.he prolly was an asskisser when he was in the military,ready to snitch on anybody just make himself look good.he prolly never got close to the inside of a ring which would explain why he likes somebody like ruiz who has absolutely no skills in the ring and should have never been allowed to put on gloves ever.and **** the president.if i was in the military i would get a dishonorable discharge rather then following a guy who went awol so he wouldnt have to go to vietnam.hey knife keep on doing what makes you happy.if you are serious about boxing ,find yourself a good gym and trainer and work work work cuz thats the only way to get good in the great sport of boxing.and thanks for sharing your fights with us.

i agree splitting about pretender being a bad influence on the boxing scene here at boxingscene. the thing is,though, even if pretender would take the time out of his life to show my superiors that, the majority of my superiors are the type of guys that dislike snitching, and would probably tell pretender to **** himself, since they ALL are fight fans except a few humanitarian types.

There proper outlets for these things at every base where guys can go box, be trained, fight in tournaments correctly, etc, and do it legitimately. Drunk streetfighting is illegal conduct for an airman who is expected to follow certain rules and regulations. You saw how it got out of hand when that one guy was choked and took 2 to 3 seconds to start breathing again. This idiot's mistake is to 1) post video of this conduct, 2) represent the air force.

It's kind of like street racing. It's illegal and dangerous to the drivers and everyone else on the roads. There are drag strips and tracks where you can go race legitimately and safely, yet these people, mostly dumb kids, still go race on public roads and end up killing themselves, pedestrians, or other motorists. Responsible tuners dont street race.

I still have friends in the service and even though we're talking about the air force here, every job and person is critical and irresponsible dip****s like this kid have no place in it. Plus take a look at the post above yours. He said go ahead and inform his chain. That was an invitation. I leave it to them now, and he has nothing to worry about so he says.

no, I'm a natural right hander, the thing is when I was about sixteen I cut my pinky finger pretty badly, turns out i can't make a proper fist with my right hand,had surgery on it 3 times,suture comes undone in my sleep somehow. :o i plan to hopefully get it fixed in the future but basically the whole right hand fist/finger thing motivated me to work on only my left hand,while my right hand was in a splint i focused on building up only the left hand,basically i had the idea that i wanted to be able to win fights with my left hand if i had to.luckily, i didnt injure my lead hand.

the thing about the right hand is i can throw it at full power and when it lands it doesn't hurt me,but the punch is less effective because i dont have a closed fist.its also harder to be accurate with it without that pinky closed because im losing out on forearm strength.

thanks man, yeah im trying to perfect my uppercut. my choice combination when someone comes in guarded is,left hook,right uppercut,then another left hook,usually one of the punches always lands,against Kevan(guy in 3rd fight)i didnt really try that on him because he's so quick.that guys fast enough to punch me while im trying to throw an uppercut because my technique isnt too good on it.

1a. I DID make an error, a lapse of judgement. That much IS true. To anyone who was genuinely offended (and who deserved it - not little smack-talking kids like this) I apologised.

1b. "All the users on the board voted to ban me"? Wtf? Ages ago I started a completely unwise thread about whether my style of posting was warranted. It was a silly idea, but I put it up to a vote. Obviously some people are quite rightly going to vote "yeah - get out" anyway for kicks, but this silly and totally worthless thread of mine had about a 60-40 ratio when it was locked anyway. All of which had NOTHING to do with the above-mentioned incident.

2. You see, the same old ****. Time after time. I've NEVER replied to this situation of whether I sent "a series of pms" (What the ****? Don't you get TIRED of saying that, boy?) to Rick. It's between two people, it's not for me to say what did or didn't go on, especially to some silly little kid like this. Yet he posts it as if it's some fact or something. Twisted.

thanks manny,you pretty cool,..about my left though,back in the day i was watchin Wlad K. beatdown ray mercer and his leapin left hook amazed me,i wanted to have that exact punch so i just worked my ass off at it eventually it just got faster and faster.im sure wlad learned that punch from vitali since ive seen vitali throw it also, and him being the older and better fighter wlad probably picked it up from him.however after watching the sanders fight it made me wonder:is a lead left hook really the smartest thing to specialize in?:)

i try to take small things that tall fighters do and incorporate them into my style,only thing i copied from larry was his jab(yea right,my jab looks like a 12 yr old's compared to his)and the way he moves his head right before he gets punched(always wondered how he survived 4 rds with tyson,turning his head with the shots is how)

as much respect as i have for ali i dont see me using anything he was great at.the one thing id like to have is ali's sneaky right hand and his footwork,but im better to throw the left hand coming out of a clinch near the ropes rather then the right.but damn did he have a sneaky right..

wlad-the way he steps into his left hook and leaps off the ground with it,i wanted to know how to punch like that ever since i saw him smack mercer around(i know it wasnt a huge feat mercer being 40,but still.)..eventually it became a natural punch to me

hearns-from now on when i fight southpaws, i always keep my lead hand near my waist when im using the jab.it hits em every time,cus the waist is a weird angle for a quick punch like that to be comin from.hearns used to do it all the time.i never do this vs conventional stance fighters though,im open for a huge straight right hand with my hand at my waist

lennox lewis-this man is pretty much who i learned how to throw a right uppercut from,the way he sets his feet etc are exactly how i plant mine

david tua-his fight with ruiz leaping in with the left hook always inspired me to overtrain my left hand so that hopefully someday my left'll be half as powerful as his left hook was on ruiz.Another thing I picked up from watching this guy is his little skip in before he throws his left hook.it's different than wlads if you watch it closely, he skips right in with a two-step deal,even gets off a jab usually(with the same hand as the hook is about to come from) and ...BAM! lights out!! he did the same thing to moorer, but imo moorer came out dry and just got served

bernard hopkins-this man always reminds me to never let anger or fear overtake you.just stay calm and capitalize on the other guy's ****ups.every time i get in a fight, in the first round when the bell rings this man is who im thinking about.i stay calm and simply circle in and get range-if the otherguy decides to come at me I look to counterpunch.i admire his never been in a war,thats the way id like to be unfortunately i think ill be in more wars though :( yes,i am the new gatti (kidding.gatti is a great fighter,never would i compare my novicity to his professionalism)

sugar ray leonard-when he gets in trouble on the ropes, he just 200%'s it and gives it EVERYTHING and throws a huge flurry at his man to back him up.also does this before a round ends to steal rounds.I use both of these,hopefully someday ill be capable of throwing 15 punch combos off the ropes like good old sugar ray could.

hagler-i watched every fight this man had,the thing about hagler is his lead hand was his strong hand,thats why he was so damn good.so i followed that same philosophy,always on my jab, left hook, left bodyshot(that i never throw),left uppercut,etc always 150% on the lead hand


i try to learn something off of each great fighter,they all have one or two great things about them, and my opinion is that if i capitalize on all their great things hopefully someday ill be better than the best there ever was.of course these are just the ramblings of some guy who never went to a 'real' boxing gym that pumps out like world champions,i went to a weak boxing gym for like a year and ever since i joined the AF ive been just doing my own thing.im told its best to find one great style and try to copy it, but im just the stubborn type of person who thinks he can actually gain a trait from all the greats.tyson did it.

Wlad is the technically more skilled, and better fighter. He just has endurance issues.

The closest gym like that is over two hours away from me. Either way down into Chicago, or up into Wisconsin. I live in the part of Illinois that no one has ever heard of. I was GOING to go into the bad part in Machesney Park, the problem is, the gym closed. There are no boxing gyms anywhere near me. Chicago is too much of a drive.

Just because you're clearly outmatched in a battle of words, doesn't mean you have to make assumptions about people. Hi, I'm 17. I have to pay for boxing. I don't have to pay for a house, or my computer, or my internet connection. I have these things, like most people do, called parents. Yeah, they pay the bills in the house, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I'd never join the service to go fight in a war we shouldn't be in. No offense to any real military personnel, I have tons of friends going to Iraq within weeks, and one who's already gone through a tour of duty, but I will NOT fight this war.

It's not excuses, son, it's facts. I simply can't get to Chicago and come back in one day. It's not a possibility. If it were, I'd do it, but it's not, so I can't.

Also, I have to pay for college, which costs a lot of money too. My parents are essentially forcing me to go, since they don't want to see my brilliance wasted on nothing.

To your last post: what the **** would a pic of my torso prove? That I'm either in or out of shape? That my face got ****ed up, because I can't block, or move my body from a punch? I can't see the logic.

Aside from that, I don't have a digicam to put anything on my computer with, and I'm sure as hell not going to pay to get a photo developed so some little ***** who thinks he's hot **** can crank one out to my picture.

No one is saying it's not entertaining, it's just this guy thinks he's got some crazy skills. He's got nothing. I mean, watch the second video. The guy has no skill: he's got no upper body movement; no feet; no jab; ****ty, wild punches; and he's beating up on guys half a foot shorter than him, probably weighing a lot less, too.

Then he talks about how he took Larry Holmes style of head movement.


He also went into a thread talking about Roy Jones, and how he doesn't move his head, and that's why he got KOed. Like THIS guy could give Roy any lessons on boxing at all. Roy had some of the best reflexes the sport has ever seen, and, while he did get caught sometimes, 85% of the shots he took he rolled away from. Dude's a chump, and he thinks he's hot ****.

I could not see the second vid. I thought the first one was a fun all out brawl, possibly between friends. I remember that back in Jr. High I used to have grappling matches against friends, so it does not necessarily have to be a legit fight but still it's cool. About Jones, I don't think there is anything to criticize about his skills. The guy just had it all. He got Koed because his strategy of rope a dope did not work for **** against Johnson. Tarver caught him because Jones' reflexes are not the same, but still that does not mean that Roy lacks any skill.

The thing is, it was about Roy Jones, had it been another thread, it would have been a fine comment, but Roy Jones moved his head as well, if not better, than anyone in the sport, especially during his reign.

You talk like you're really good, saying you take this and that from other fighters, and you've gotten this or that down. You talk like you're great; you didn't say it, but your posts imply it.

In fact, I just moved out here. The closest gym is NOT 200 miles away, it's about 17 miles, and it costs a ton of money. I can give you a link to their site if you don't believe me.

no, I'm a natural right hander, the thing is when I was about sixteen I cut my pinky finger pretty badly,
the thing about the right hand is i can throw it at full power and when it lands it doesn't hurt me,but the punch is less effective because i dont have a closed fist.its also harder to be accurate with it without that pinky closed because im losing out on forearm strength.

I'd never join the service to go fight in a war we shouldn't be in. No offense to any real military personnel, I have tons of friends going to Iraq within weeks, and one who's already gone through a tour of duty, but I will NOT fight this war.

They been lowering the standards for punks like this kid. He joined to get out of his trailer park not for any patriotic reason. There's a test you take when you enlist called the ASVAB, kind of like the GED. All you need is a 44% to be accepted into the USAF. You can bet this moron probably missed that cutoff and had his mom sign a waver to let him in.

Your logic is very poor. Here's a simple way to clarify whether it is relevent at all: Are dorm fights of any kind legal within USAF guidelines? No. Therefore anyone who witnesses it is technically duty-bound to turn you in by order of your base commander.
