I don't really know that much about MMA or what not, but since Toney and Mayorga are switching over, who is more likely to do better?

Mayorga....

Mayorga's power and brawling ability seem more suited to MMA stand up than Toney's upper body movement and counter punching. I could imagine Mayorga pulling off a Mercer-Sylvia type of win if matched against the right opponent.

Just a guess here, but I'd also imagine that it would be harder for a 155lber to take down Mayorga than it would be for a 205lber to take down Toney. RM is supposedly very strong at the weight. I don't even know if Toney can make 205. He probably could, but he hasn't bothered doing it for several years so I'm not sure he's going to start now.

Toney's the better boxer, but Mayorga has a style that's better suited and Toney' division is infested with strong wrestlers.

As far as quality of fighters, Toney is a world apart from Mayorga.

I think Toney has a better chance of hitting and hurting someone right off the bat.

Mayorga for sure. toney is way outa shape and just not even meant to be in MMA. Ricardo has a way better chance of sucess in mma than toney in my opinion

toney..... mayorga is a punching bag....

I wouldn't be surpised if Toney's defense isn't effective in mma

the way he leans over, he's just begging to get clinched or head kicked

I think MMA was made for Mayorga. He's going to put on some excellent fights and put on a show. He's going to go in there and brawl with anyone, all on the line.

Yes but my question is: Are they willing to brawl with him?

I'm betting Din is going to put Mayorga on his back faster than a blonde on prom night....

Any idea if they're paying Mayorga big money?

Seems like they're not that big of an organisation, but I'd be surprised if Mayorga was willing to fight in MMA for less than he'd usually get for a boxing match.

toney..... mayorga is a punching bag....

LOL that has nothing to do with anything.

Also Toney is a punching bag FYI he just has a better chin.

I don't think it's even close. Mayorga by a mile.

Toney is too fat and won't make even a decent Mixed Martial Artist.......he'll get instantly subbed by someone who grabs his leg.

That being stated Mayorga could be a killer.

With a kick I suppose.

No possible way he knocks him out with a punch.

SH1NE is ATT's training ground for fighters.

While I don't think it's a big payday, they have the connections to make it at least a comfortable wage.

Mayorga just because he has a better chance of Din being ****y enough to stand with him over Toney who everybody will definitely take down in a heart beat, and like said, the philly shell doesn't work in MMA IMO.

That is true. Mayorga needs to work on his takedown defense. I'm sure he's working on that as he's training. He has to be smart and know what he's going to expect when he gets into the cage.

Mayorga will be more successful.

He is basically Chris Leben with 50x better hand skills.
