I noticed that alot of you are hoping for a DLH super fight but thats not going to happened. DLH wants big fights but he wants to see if he can come back down and dominate and I dont think Shane's performance has convinced him that he could come straight back down and beat a guy like Judah. He also said he will fight at 150 which means he wants to ease back in to 147 and wants his body to be comfertable. I see an outside chance of him fighting Margarito because I think he is overrated and I think that Oscar thinks he can easily beat him and the added weight will help Oscar because Margarito didnt perform well at 154. That probally wont happened and I think he has a outside chance of fighting Santos but I think a logical opponent would be Travis Simms. He is a champ with skills and he is a Don King fighter that would be a tune up for a fight with King's Judah. Some of you say Spinks but there in no way in hell that Oscar would risk fighting Spinks in his first fight with that style. It is a bad style and you dont fight guys like that if you dont have to

As for MAB I think there is a outside chance he could fight Jesus Chaves who is a pretty good fighter but I think Golden Boy is not Bull ****ting and he will fight a top fighter. Here are some clear reasons why. MAB wants big fights because he doesnt know how many fights he has left and his last fight was a rip off against a chump. 2nd is that Golden Boy Promotions last PPV was garbage and they have to redeem themselves before they get a bad rep. 3rd is that Oscar will most likely not fight a top guy so he wants to give the fans something to be really excited about and that will be MAB's big fight. I think it will be Marquez because Morales is out the picture for now because no one wants to see a 4th fight, MAB's not moving up yet, and Pac hasnt won in 2 fights and is still to dangerous to fight when you dont have to. Juan is the obvious choice

So there it is. I think its like this. They wouldnt say MAB will fight a A+ fighter unless they mean it and I gave you alot of reasons why he would. This also cleary means that Oscar is not fighting someone that great because he is not dumb enough to waste all that money having 2 super fights on one card when he could have 2 seperate PPV events for him and MAB.

MAB vs Marquez and Oscar vs 1)Simms, 2)Santos, 3)Margarito

margarito will beat de la hoya's ass if that fight comes off.
what about barrera fighting morales or pacman? they would be the obvious choices. i think marquez will fight the winner of harrison/brodie this summer.

I think DLH will fight some unknown, maybe cosme rivera, i mean seriously 150lbs isnt 147. So it isnt going to be for any titles.

As for MAB, if Pac is fighting Peden, MAB could fight the winner of Chavez-Hernandez. I guess Barrera could fight Morales, but if he feels he is 2-1 over Morales i dont see him risking his newly re-acquired fame against someone so dangerous as an undercard fight.

And dont hold ur breath for DLH - Margarito... DLH dont want none of him he said it himself.

Barrera ain't fighting Marquez. If he really wanted to, the fight would have happened long long ago. When they say "A+ opponent", that's to their standard so I wouldn't be surprised if they come short of what was said.

he could fight Judah still for the title at a catch weight. Judah would fight Oscar at 220 for the money he knows he would get.

Me too i think at most we can expect Barrera to fight the winner of Chavez-Hernandez.

naw i doubt they would set up a low caliber opponent after their last PPV. They are not stupid, they know people where dissapointed with the last PPV from HBO

Dela hoya can take on Maragarito that will be interesting, MAB should try to get a match with marquez or a rematch with pacqiao

Obviously you haven't read Oscar's own words. He will NEVER fight Margarito and he only wants super fights from hear on out. Santos is big at 154 lbs and will not make 150 lbs, and he is a hard fighter to beat anyway. At this stage of Oscar's career, anything vs a good fighter without titles or p4p recognition is too big of a risk. He should be fighting Judah, and that's the only name that has come out of his mouth.

This is a tough call, but here are my predictions

DeLaHoya vs. Cory Spinks
Barrera vs. Barrios

Barrios would fit the description of "A+ opponent" in the eyes of GBP, and it would unify the WBC and WBO 130lb titles....

Oscar needs to fight a clever lefty under Don King's control if he wants to make the Judah fight for May '06, so Spinks would be a logical choice, plus since Oscar is "creating" another weight class with his vow that he'll fight at 150 on the 17th, Spinks would be a good choice, being that he's a welterweight who can no longer make 147 but has name recognition

yeah Sturm will make 150 pounds, riiiiiiight.... the guy is a big middleweight, he'll never be able to lose 10 lbs from that kind of frame, but thanx for playing :)

I didnt know Oscar said he wouldnt fight Margarito but he isnt scared like you guys say he is. He wont fight him because Margarito is with Arum and Oscar does not want to help Arum out and give him money. I also have made alot of threads saying how Margarito is nothing special and is purely overrated. Now he beats Cintron and that makes him great? Who has Cintron beat?
