Real-No but peanut butter is soft and easy but slowly digests so it is suitable to eat a spoonful (leveled off of course) before bed. Nothing solid. dionysusolympus 05-20-2005, 11:13 AM dion-Most meat markets carry them, I usually stick with just white meats such as turkey/fish/chicken and fruits and vegetables and my protein shakes. Real-No but peanut butter is soft and easy but slowly digests so it is suitable to eat a spoonful (leveled off of course) before bed. Nothing solid. curious. do you eat the organic-style/organic peanut butter? thanks for the tip, spinksjinx...from earlier... ottoevans 05-20-2005, 11:55 AM whats the difference between complex and fibrous carbs and what do they do? spinksjinx 05-20-2005, 01:58 PM dion-Organic/Natural is supposed to be better for you, because it doesnt contain the excess oils and fats that regular peanut butter does. But I use Jif, I use such a low amount (teaspoon leveled off) that it wouldnt really make a large difference. If you were to eat a considerable amount, I would recommend the natural PB. Otto-Complex carbs aide weight loss in many ways - they contain more fiber, which makes you feel fuller, but also slows down the digestion process, causing more stable blood sugar levels, less energy dips and less cravings for simple carbs. they also require more energy to digest, thus just eating more complex carbs increases your metabolism. The same goes for protein - it costs more energy-wise to digest, so it has a greater thermogenic effect. Simple carbs are one, two, or at most three units of sugar linked together in single molecules. Complex carbs are hundreds or thousands of sugar molecules linked together in single molecules. The more fiber, the more complex. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
