I'm doing this research paper for this history class I'm in and the topic I decided to do is why Muhammad Ali's reasons for dodging the draft justifiable. During the essay I have to have two sources that were back from that time period that support Ali.
Does anyone have any articles from back then that support Ali or at least have Ali giving quotes on why he decided not to fight overseas? Thanks so much for whoever decides to help.

"No Vietnamese ever called me ******." One of Ali's famous quotes about the war.

No way in hell would Ali have had to fight, but hey, he did what he had to do, and most people still call him the greatest HW ever. Plus he's loved and respected worldwide.

Surely you could come up with a better topic? There really isn't much to explain other than Ali was too lazy and disinterested with the prospect of flying over to some war torn country to entertain a bunch of fat yank troops.
He was the anti-Bob Hope

Get a copy of Thomas Hauser's Muhammad Ali. It's full of lengthy quotes (with reference sources).
