I know some people might not care, but I wanted to be helpful to anyone who wants to know how I train. Here is my workout routine:

My Days off (Tuesday & Wednesday)

7:30 A.M.: Wake-Up and stretching
7:45 A.M.: 30 minutes road work
8:15 A.M.: Protein Bar, 1/2 cup of Oatmeal, and lots of water
12:00 P.M.: .4 Pound grilled Chicken, 1/2 cup of white rice, lots of hot sauce and water
3:00 P.M.: Power Bar and lots of water.
5:00 P.M.: Go to the Gym:

Gym Routine:
2 Rounds shadow boxing
4 rounds sparring
4 rounds bag work
2 rounds speed bag
15 minutes jumping rope
Sit-Ups (50 x 2 sets)
Pushups (15-20 x 10 sets)
Bicep Curls (15 x 4 sets, 10 pounds)
Calf Raises (50 x 2 sets, 20 lbs.)
Squats (50 x 2 sets, 20 lbs.)

Post Workout: A protein bar and lots of water.

When I have work, I basically do everything above, save for the sparring and bag work, before 10:00 A.M.

You must be in good shape with a routine like that man. Thats very strenuous. That, and you dont eat a damn thing.

Man, you know much I kill myself to make weight? This shit is impossible! And in the amateurs, you don't get an extra day to rehydrate!

Thats nuts. Looks like you only eat 1000 calories a day. I eat close to 4,000 and am really lean for my size at 6'2 195.

I try to get in about 1,500 calories a day. Man, 125 is killer on me. Especially after layoffs, when I'll be about 145-155 walking around.

Thats really low though man. I can see why you do this....considering you have to make 125. That would be fuking hell on me....cuz the lowest I could go: and have gone...is 155. You could see my ribs though, and that is not a good sign. Why do you have to make 125? why dont you fight at jr welter or lightweight?

My record is 14-0, with 9 KO's. I have 10 fights at 125, with 9 KO's. At 132, I have 4 fights, 0 KO's. I fought my first fight at 132, pounding out a shaky decision. When another one of my gym mates was competing at 132 for the 2003 Diamond Gloves, I elected to drop down to 125 so I could also compete. I was killing myself trying to take off the weight, so I reduced my calorie intake and upped my road work. I found that at that weight, I was blowing kids away, and eventually won the Diamond Gloves championship at 125. I would fight at 132 every now and again when I only had 2 or 3 weeks to train. But for the most part, I have continued to try and make 125. It kills me sometimes, but when I'm tough, it don't bother me too much.

is it healthy, in the long term, what you are doing. Its okay to go down weights below ur natural level but to kill yourself doing it, is not so good i think. just my opionion.

jatt-As long as he keeps it under control it shouldnt be very detrimental.

When I am in shape I usually go down to about 112-116, I am currently at 128 right now. I havent hit the gym in a while since my trainer passed away and I have been eating out like crazy. But I can eat regularly and stay close to the weight. Asian shouldnt have no worries either.

Asian-Perhaps you should try eating egg whites? They are only 17 calories per white and no fat with 3 grams of protein, I add some spices or salsa to them and it keeps me full and not packing on the weight either.

How tall are you?

I'm 5'8 and most likely I'm gonna have to fight in the 132 weight class...

Lets see if I can make 125 but I doubt it..

Thats what its there for. You can use it as a model, and then play around with format until you get what works best for you. But if you don't need to kill yourself for weight, add some more food.

It's extremely difficult for me right now, coming down from 165 after a care accident last year. I was as high as 210, but have turned my weight around dramatically.

Thanks for posting your workout man and good luck with you making weight. I'm going to follow this routine apart from the sparring as since i left clovenstone i don't have a particular gym at the moment though i will be looking for one soon. Keep up the good work and thanks again man.

Yeah, I used to say that as a 13 year old 210 lber. It's a nice little routine, but most importantly, it gets results.

It's rough and takes a great deal of discipline to follow, but if you are as angry at yourself and hate the world like as much as I do, it's kinda easy.

Whats an acceptable amount of calories in which I can consistently burn fat and still have energy through out the day? It'd be mad cool if you could also come up with an alternative meal plan.

hmmmmm i realy depends on your metabolism.

but 3kcal per kg(roughly 2lbs) bodyweight, thats what an average guy burn without doing something, your trainging regime sounds like it burns about a 1000 more a day.

Forgive me, I'm not well acquainted with the metric system. I know The Prince's avatar can be deceiving.
