View Full Version : hopkins vs jones jr? dino 05-18-2005, 01:40 PM who do u guys think would if they fought NOW at 175...we all know jones jr would rape him about 3 4 years ago..hopkins dosent have any power..who do u guys think would win Bad Intentions 05-18-2005, 01:54 PM Right now at 175 i think Jones would still win, Roy still is a great boxer, Glenn Johnson put allot of pressure on him and he wasnt ready for that kinda fight. Hopkins does not do that, Hopkins willl box and Roy is at his best when his opponents box. Roy can pot shot all night, that is what he does best. PLus who knows how well Hopkins would carry the wieght, Roy wins by UD The Fix 05-18-2005, 02:07 PM id say hopkins right now he is at the top of his game and jones has taken a slide btw ive heard jones didnt train for glen johnson anybody confirm that? Bad Intentions 05-18-2005, 02:29 PM i cant confirm it but it sure as looked that way, he looked sharp in the Tarver fight, but he just got cought, I think he took Johnson to lightly and he payed for it, he probally trained but not much. Kimmy 05-18-2005, 02:31 PM who do u guys think would if they fought NOW at 175...we all know jones jr would rape him about 3 4 years ago..hopkins dosent have any power..who do u guys think would win 32 KO`s in 46 wins with 21 of those wins world title fights and Hopkins doesn`t have any power? Are you on crack? PLus who knows how well Hopkins would carry the wieght, Roy wins by UD I'm still a newbie when it comes to boxing terms. What is a potshot? sisforshaq 05-18-2005, 11:07 PM It would be a good fight but Hopkins i dont think can make that jump with ease at age 40 while Roy is already their. If Roy trained he would handle Hopkins just like their first fight Brz_Pugilist 05-18-2005, 11:44 PM Dont know about 175 since Hopkins hasnt fought at that weight.I would take Hopkins at 168.I think too many of ya are still on the Jones Jr bandwagon.
