Like the quick 1 2 rounds eh. Not the boring 12 rounds. I should have put Corrales Castillo on my list. Barrera Morales I was good the other 2 were kinda boring. Judah Tzyu I enjoyed watching because that ****y punk Judah got dropped. Morales vs Pacquaio was cool. Hearns Leonard I should have put on my list that is a great fight. Cassius Clay vs Frazier I and III and should have put on my list those are great fights. Foreman vs Lyle is also a great fight. Trinidad Mayorga is an entertaining one sided beating. Hagler Hearns is a good of a 3 round fight as you can get and it was a superfight. Lewis Klistchko was exciting but the ending sucked in that it was stopped on cuts. Never have seen many Louis fights. Never saw Cooney vs Norton.
Martin (Top Knowledge) 05-18-2005, 10:27 AM I dunno why?... But for me it's Tszyu vs Mitchell 2 at the moment. :)
Maybe because I'm getting ready for the BIG ONE in 17 days time! :dunno:
as214 05-18-2005, 10:29 AM Hopkins vs. Tito
Winky vs. Tito
DLH vs. Tito ( I like watching robberies and unjust decisions)
The Troll 05-18-2005, 10:32 AM I think I will add Tua vs Ruiz. :D that was a good one.
spinksjinx 05-18-2005, 10:32 AM McKay-Vitali wasnt knocking Lewis out and taking the hard shots across the face for 6 more rounds would have been murder for Vitali. I thought the stop was suitable, the cut was just insane.
Aside from Floyd Patterson, Louis is my favorite heavyweight. You should check some of his fights out, really worth watching.
Just the way Cooney beat Norton was crazy, he was expected to get slaughtered against Norton. Norton just sat on the turnbuckle and Cooney fired hooks left and right with no defense. It was actually sad because Norton was such a great fighter and Cooney was so average.
Robinson
Lamotta
Murphy
Fullmer
Basilio
A short list of fighters who every fight is worth watching.
Lamotta vs Murphy is a true classic and should have made my list.
spinksjinx 05-18-2005, 10:33 AM Hopkins vs. Tito
Winky vs. Tito
DLH vs. Tito ( I like watching robberies and unjust decisions)
You like some pretty crumby fights :D
Just curious you a Tito hater? I cant say I am a fan of his but his fights bring excitement when he was in his prime.

.
I dont think that the stoppage in the Lewis vs Klistchko fight was wrong first off. I just hate to see any exciting fight like that end on cuts.

Ok gotcha, Yeah it had a pretty unrewarding ending for sure. Unfortunately we didnt get a rematch but it may be good that we didnt, it was a really good fight and a rematch could have been a dud with a jab fest by Lewis.

I'm a big fan of Floyd myself. His jack-in-the-box punches are great. Have you seen the knockout from the second Johanssen fight? Probably you have. For those that don't know, Johanssen was hit so hard he was lying uncounscious and one of his legs was twitching.
Has anyone mentioned the first Mayorga - Forrest fight yet? For some reason I find that one interesting. Mayorga's finest hour, I guess.

Yes, The Johanssen fight was on espn classic not to long ago. I forgot to record it, I was so upset. I need to get my hands on that fight.
Mayorga-Forrest wasnt all of what it was cracked up to be. Forrest was a decent fighter at best, he had all of the tools but they were B level. It wasnt devastating to me, he had no defense for a guy who slugged at angles.
I think the second Forrest fight was better for Mayorga, everyone trashed him saying ohh he got lucky and Forrest will bounce back and yada yada yada. People underestimated Mayorga and thought he couldnt last 12 rounds. He took Forrest 12 rounds outpointed him and got drunk after the fight. You cant give a bigger "F-U" to the critics after that.

That Mayorga is F**king crazy!!!... You gotta love him!!!... LOL!...
I read that after the 1st Forrest fight He got arrested along with loads of his mates coz' they were racing their cars from Las Vegas back to Nicaguia! (Excuse the spelling), The same night!!!... LOL!...

Mayorga is a rebel:
Drag Racing
Smoker/Drunk
Ballsy enough to stand up and throw fists at Alexis Arguello, at the same time porking and cheating on his daughter.
Mayorga is a wild man haha.
Good guy is he, it's true.

I have a few copies of the Johanssen fights that I got on-line that are of varying quality. A few clips in English of each fight plus the entire trilogy in French for some reason (who knows where some of these clips come from  ).
Good point about the second Mayorga fight.
I don't think Mayweather - Corrales has made it onto any lists yet. imo that's the fight that shows off Floyd's skills the best, though Manfredy is not far behind (though it's also much shorter, of course).
Holmes - Cooney is a great heavyweight fight though a bit one-sided. The Legendary Nights on it does a good job of showing the way the hype for it was built up so much by DK and Cooney's handlers.

And he stood on the scales with a Cigar and a Bottle of Bud... LOL!... Ohh and a slice of pizza too!... LOL!...
And then he drops his hands and lets World class fighters have a free shot!... And then jokes around!
WHAT A CHARACTER!...
The best thing is though, at welterweight you got the feeling that if he hit a stationary train it would shunt forward a few feet!... ;)
Kimmy 05-18-2005, 11:44 AM Found myself agreeing with allot of your posts. Tyson Vs Holyfield is my fave, watching the rapist get raped!
And my new fave is Tito Vs Wright..ha ha ha, calling Tito average would be an over statement!

That's a great list... I actually found the Morlaes vs Pacquiao fight more exciting than the Corrales vs Catillo fight! And I watch Morlaes vs Pacquiao fight a lot, because of the way they both fought!... True Warriors of the ring!
I also think the Hamed vs Barrera fight was a great fight!... I was a HUGE Hamed fan, Because I'm from the UK... And at the time, it felt like a dark cloud was coming over when Hamed couldn't do anything to win!... But I'm now a life long MAB fan! I thought he was great before (Morales vs Barrera 1) but the Hamed fight cemented it.
He out boxed the guy no one could out box!
Sweat 05-18-2005, 12:05 PM Pacquiao vs. MAB

Pacquiao-Morales

What he did against Trinidad was insane flapping his arms like a wildman that he obviously is.
At 147 Mayorga is a beast, I would love to see him go back down and destroy a lot of the fighters there. The top names migrated back to 147 and I would have a feeling Mayorga could upset quite a few of them.
Mayorga vs Zab haha that would be fun.
Bombardier-Are they watchable? I may be interested in getting it off of you if it is tolerable.
What Mayweather did to Manfedy is going to be a prime indication of what he will do to Gatti. :)...Just stirring the pot a bit.
Corrales was so outclassed it was sickening to watch.
Boxerdog 05-18-2005, 12:12 PM Foreman/Lyle
Arguello/Mancini
Hagler/Mugabi
Ali/Foreman
spinksjinx 05-18-2005, 12:14 PM I forgot to add Aaron Pryor to that list. He has had some real true classics.
Bombardier 05-18-2005, 12:15 PM Bombardier-Are they watchable? I may be interested in getting it off of you if it is tolerable.
Yes, actually the quality on all the clips are decent, I believe. Do you mind the French commentary? Because that is the best one I have in terms of quality and it includes all three fights (I'm pretty certain they're full fights, though I'm not 100% sure). The file's a bit big but I could split it up into pieces so that there's less of a chance that yousendit gives me trouble.
If you don't like the French I could get you the English clips. They're not as good quality but they're still above-average.

I would love to see Mayorga go back down to welterweight and upset a few fighters... Only I think with cigar smoking/beer drinking/crazy ass ****, comes lack of discipline. And without that he won't be able to make the weight. :dunno:

If Mayorga would pop some diuretics 24 hours before the weigh-in he could. He doesnt care though, he is one of those fighters who think "no man is to big" which I think will hurt him.

They might be fill fights. I'll have a look for you. I just don't want to say for sure because I got the clips a while ago and I don't want to get your hopes up  . But the condition especially on the French fights is quite good, at least in terms of what you can find on-line.

What is the deal with all these points?... I've got 8 million of them now, but I can't do anything with them. I went to that ushop and there's nothing there.
I bet them against people, but to be honest I don't really give a flying f**k if I lose coz' I can't do anything with them anyway.
What do you do with your points?

I've got that one, It is in pretty good quality to converted it from an old vhs to dvd just the other day. Good fight.
Martin-Aside from betting and buying stuff from the store they serve no real purpose. I squandered all of mine away on ruiz/toney and lost (154 million) I only got about 300k in the bank now. I am going to blow it and bet it all on Brewster by UD for the fight.
Points really mean jack anymore.
