On the Waterfront (1954) I would include City Lights and Pulp Fiction here as well, but, even with memorable boxing scenes, probably don't qualify as "boxing movies" On the Waterfront doesn't have the first scene inside the ring, but I believe it qualifies 2. Raging Bull 3. Rocky 4. The Great White Hype 5. The Milky Way Haven't seen Million Dollar Baby yet SPORTS MOVIES OVERALL 1. Hoosiers 2. Seabiscuit 3. Million Dollar Baby AJ53 02-14-2007, 01:00 PM BOXING 1. raging bull, de-niro is excellent as he portray's the struggles of fighter jake la mottas life. 2. the hurricane, denzels my favourite actor and boxing is my favourite sport so i probably rate this higher than most. 3. rocky 1 im only gonna rate my favourite but rocky 4 could be in here too. 4. cinderella man, altho it can be a little slow it's still a fascinating true story. 5. gladiator, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104346/ just an all around enjoyable boxing film, ok the fight scenes are un-realistic and the story goes a little too far in the end but it's just a good old beer movie.
