I think Spinks could win some titles at 154 with a doubt. He is a very good boxer and I think 154 is the weight he should be fighting at. Not sure when he will fight next but I think he has a bright future even though the Judah loss was devastating.

154 is wide open with Wright moving up to 160.I think Spinks could easily outpoint aging Javier Castillejo and paper champ Travis Simms for their World title belts. He should avoid Santos and Ouma, because Santos is a Southpaw with power, and Ouma's a punching machine southpaw, with great stamina.,

Cory will reign supreme at 154, he is lightyears ahead of everybody in that division. I only give Winky the shot at beating him and that would be a close competitive fight and it would come down to who would break their guard first. Both would be very defensive but Winky arrived at 160.

spinks might would do well, his main rivals would be daniel santos and kassim ouma both of which i would have trouble picking spinks over. a mayorga rematch may also be dangerous for spinks

Wait ... so he's moving up to escape all the comp at welter or because there's no one at jr middle?

Both reasons are bogus and he'll just hasten an end to his own career by moving up for those reasons. He should fight at the correct weight he can make.

Moving up after getting beat is just bull****. There's other guys he can fight and make money and regain his status considering everyone else will be fighting and their status changing accordingly.

If he runs, they'll just follow. If they're not afraid of him and they lose they'll stalk jr middle right behind him.

People won't pay to see him defeat duds at jr middle but they might ot see him fight and maybe lose against the competition at welter.

Won't they ever learn?

Ouma is the new 154 pound king, now that Wright is at 160.Spinks couldn't handle Ouma's punch output for a whole 12rds.Spinks has the speed and boxing ability, but Ouma is just as fast and has that late-round KO power kinda like Jose Luis Castillo.Spinks would have a better shot at Santos,IMO.Although Santos is a big 154pounder and would be a threat to KO Spinks in any round, especially being a Southpaw and all.

Regarding Ouma, you're exactly right. The steady pressure that Judah put on him is what beat him and he ain't seen pressure til Ouma gets on his ass.

Spinks will never reign at any weight. Nobody wants to see him fight, and Don realizes this. Maybe at 154 he can fight Mayorga under a PPV named like: "Revenge." I would love to see Spinks get slaughtered by Mayo, who this time I'm sure wouldn't let that sissy ass ***** run.

Judah ruined Spinks and proved he is the better of them. Cory "Pigeon Puncher" Spinks has no future.

I think Cory can beat everyone at 154, except Ouma which is 50-50. I think both fighters are great, and like them both, would love to see how that played out with Cory trying to use his speed, skills and movement and Ouma with his non-stop pressure, accuracy and both good defensively, man mouth watering to me man, would love to see that fight lets hope it happens.

i think 154 would be tough for him, he can get a title in 154, but sooner then later he's gonna get ko'd. he'll be heavier then he's used to, so moving around will tire him in the later rounds. he doesn't have any power to keep a aggressor off him for twelve rounds, and being heavier it's tough to be as slick as he was at welter....BUT the division is almost as wide open as the heavyweights, so he does have a chance in getting some wins, cause his boxing talent is on a higher level then most at 154....all we can do is wait and see......i like spinks and hope he does well though, but realistically it's gonna be hard...

I dunno about being heavier than he's used to, he came in at fight night in the 160's against Judah both times, right? Or at least I know he did in the second one. He should do well in the 154 pound division, he'll just have to be more careful and be better than he was at his previous weight because he's facing fighters who are naturally heavier than him and hit much harder at that weight than he can. The main problem that Spinks has I think is that he doesn't have alot of punching power in him.

I think he'd beat Mayorga in a rematch, Ricardo doesn't have much choice in the matter of whether or not Spinks uses the ring just like he didn't in the first. Ricardo doesn't seem like he can adapt very well, either.
