View Full Version : bob foster vs roy jones SturmRules 05-16-2005, 05:15 PM who wins at light heavy :boxing: marvdave 05-16-2005, 07:49 PM Interesting matchup. Jones was elusive, but Foster was a very nice Boxer with the biggest right hand I've ever seen in that division. I think it would be a chess match with Jones throwing flurries and Foster working the jab trying to set up the right. I think Foster would get to Jones late. The big right would be too much for Jones to handle. Foster ko in 11. My light heavy dream fight is Spinks vs Foster rocco1252 05-24-2005, 03:40 PM Jones with a Unanimous Decision. I dont think anyone would be KO'd in this fight. Jones probably the best pound for pound fighter out there with 2 unfortunate losses as of late could use his speed and raw talent to keep away from Foster who I think would be the attacker in this fight trying to set up with his long Jab. Foster being the bigger of the 2 men at 6'3" which is large for a light heavy weight fighter would try and utilize his jab and set up for the right but Jones has a much better counter and speed that would help him out through this fight. Jones with the Decision M26 05-24-2005, 04:04 PM Bob Foster was a great fighter, but against a prime Jones Jr he would come out the loser. Jones would beat Foster to the punch and take home a comfortable UD. wmute 05-24-2005, 09:45 PM foster by ko, his reach would be a nughtmare for jones and even if jones won every round 1 punch would be enough from foster: to sum it up foster hurt frazier... frazier... I ll repeat Joe Frazier to hurt jones he would not even need to land flush now p4p I would go with jones, but we are talking 175 here Kimmy 05-26-2005, 03:02 PM I think Roy Jones can dance around Mr Foster for 12 or even 15 rounds. Remember that Foster dominated the light heavyweight division at a time when it was very weak. Jones in his prime would steal it on points. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
