I think that leonard simply didn't have enough fights in his prime to make it in the top 10 P4P which Grebb is definitely in. SRL did beat 4 impressive HOF's as Benitez, Hearns, Duran, and Hagler but Greb beat 13 HOF's and also fought with a blind eye toward the end of his career. I rate Greb #5 P4P and SRL like #12 which i know will be unsettling for some who don't SRL is top 15.

For pure ability Ray Leonard may have Greb beat (which is really guess work for me because I have obviously never seen Greb fight) but in longevity, body of work and about every other concievable category Greb wins by light years in my book.

It has to be Greb for me.
A lot of people can make a case for SRL not being top 20 atg pfp, whereas Greb must be in the upper reaches of anyones top 10. Whilst I have Robinson at number one you could make a case for Greb being worthy of consideration, fantastic resume.

Sugar Gay Leonard is overrated, Harry Greb ranks higher than him. Duran exposed Sugar Gay.

It's difficult to compare a man who had 300 fights to a man who had 40. It's equally as difficult to compare a fighter that looks brilliant on film to another of whom we have none.

Resume, longevity, dominance goes to Greb. But we can only guess about his head-to-head abilities. Could he have competed with Ray Leonard? We know that Tunney was great and that Loughran was great but still it's difficult to say with no footage of Greb's fights.

I think the fact that he had so many fights, fought so frequently, and beat so many great boxers during the golden age of boxing probably indicates that he's be more than a match for SRL. If SRL were to stand a chance it would have to be on a best of three... wait best of five... hang on best of seven basis LOL.

I agree that it strongly indicates it along with the film we have of the men that he beat (Tunney, Loughran, Gibbons) but without actual film of him there's no way to prove that he was better than Leonard skill-wise. It's just how it is.

Logically if he could beat Gene Tunney at 175 lbs then it'd be a stretch to say that Leonard could beat him at 160 lbs.

Especially when Tunney outweighed him by 13 pounds in that fight.

And Greb was blind in one eye...

Now if he had one hand tied behind his back...

Don't make out like you know what you actually talking about.Other than a couple of Manny Pacquiao fights this year, you've never watched any fight that lasted longer than four. The typical mmgay fan simply doesn't have the mind to take in such a long period of sustained action.

Stick to watching glass jawed grapplers roll around in a cage.
