Boxing getting the most exposure lately since the Rocky movies. A boxing movie wins the Academy Awards best picture, and now we have Cinderella Man, a movie about James Braddock in 1935 starring Russel Crowe. With the Contender success, looks like boxing is getting more and more popular in the mainstream. Any of you going to see this new movie coming out on June 3rd? Whats the deal with the name though...

I definitally want to see this seeing as how it is two of my biggest interests coming together at the same time, boxing and film. I am suprised this was not made into a movie before now as it is probably the first best underdog story in sports... As for the deal with the title-- what that is about is just saying that he was a 'Cinderella story', like during March Madness when they call a basketball team a 'Cinderella'...

Ah...well you'd think he could have come up with something a little more manly. If I see the title Cinderella Man I'd think it was about a sissy man or something. But the movie looks good.

It's a Ron Howard movie...you expect it not to be "sissy"?

Well it has Russel Crowe so I expect it to be good. More interesting than that Eastwood movie with Hillary Swank. And better than that bomb of an Ali flick starring the fresh prince.

Are you ****ting me??!
Ron Howard makes GREAT films. I have been waiting for this one for over a year.
Was Apollo 13 sissy? A Dangerous Mind?

To me there's a few too many happy-family moments in a lot of his films. I did like Apollo 13, though. Just my opinion  .

c'mon now..Ali wasnt that bad. Its actually better the second time you watch it. I was however a little disappointed though. It's almost as if they took " when we were kings " and redid it as a motion picture.

Regarding the, Cinderalla Man, I am looking forward to it. I love the movies about the old boxers I really dont know that much about.

You're right it wasn't that bad, and in fact Will did better than I'd expect...it just seemed such a miscast to me. I mean, every time I see Will Smith this tune just pops into my head...

Now this is a story, all about how
my life got flipped, turned upside-down,
And I'd like to take a minute,
So just sit right there,
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air

Million Dollar baby was a good boxing movie in my opinion, was sad though how she got so high and then *I won't spoil it :P* It could have been more realistic though, I mean she won EVERY one of her fights in the 1st round
