as214 05-16-2005, 10:03 AM What did I tell you about this clown.. This time the excuse is that his father is retiring so he wont fight without his daddy BBWAHH!!.. Notice after each of his losses it was an excuse as to why he wouldnt rematch the guys who beat him.... This confirms I was right, Tito has no heart.. His is a big punch bully who cant adapt, doesnt handle adversity,.. See ya Tito have fun back in puerto Rico.. You cant hang with Americas best!! VIVA USA!

I guess Titos dad thinks Tito is a failure so his retiring
Trinidad shouldnt have talked so much **** b4 the fight..
TheBrownBomber22 05-16-2005, 10:07 AM That's a bit harsh man, give some respect to a great fighter who's decided to retire, for whatever reason, I certainly enjoyed watching him and will miss him.
spinksjinx 05-16-2005, 10:12 AM The Hopkins retirement was legit, Hopkins says he wasnt worthy and went on to face Daniel/Hakkar/Allen....All deserving fighters arent they?
The retirement now, his dad probably wants out of the game he has no love for it anymore. Without his dad Felix has no guidance, I think that Tito should have rode off on the high horse after the Mayorga fight personally.

If somebody beats you and you have a chance to try again why wouldnt you.. I dont care if you're a boxer , lawyer, stockbroker, whatever you are you should always give your best in life!! This happened twice with Tito. For a man that talks alot of **** before his fights what is the general public supposed to think when he runs to PR for two years, and then reitres again immediately after losing.. Here's a question.. Had Tito beaten Winky Wright do you think he would have retired. Id guess not!!

No because he would have gotten the fight he wanted so bad and was the reason for the comeback. No need for a rematch he got so outclassed the outcome in the next fight wouldnt be different so why push the issue?
**** talking is all P.R. man, it puts asses in seats and ppv sales. Which is why Tito gets above 400k each buys and Ruiz only gets about 100k on a stacked card. It is all business man, nothing personal just a way to fill the house.
triggerhappy 05-16-2005, 10:18 AM i see the coward shows his yellow side again.Anyone that respects the latin menace should not be watching boxing.
p.s to all the people who owe me points for tito loseing i want them and i want them now!

jchavez12345 05-16-2005, 10:47 AM Well first of all I was/am a tito fan, but this is one of those fights that after you watch you can tell that these guys can fight 100 fights and tito will lose everytime.
Congrats to Winky for giving tito a great boxing lesson.

Bombardier 05-16-2005, 10:58 AM Maybe this isn't the right thread to ask (though I was encouraged by the tone of the first post), but when did this fight become about the US vs Puerto Rico? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Puerto Rico a part of the US?
triggerhappy 05-16-2005, 11:09 AM yes bombardier pr is part of the us the people there are @#$%.....

Agreed, respect his decision and move on.
He has already given us more than we could ever want.
I respect Tito and his decision, it is his career and not mine.
So be it.
Atwa_66 05-16-2005, 11:34 AM damn that's insane, I didn't think he'd retire after the fight....But I have a feeling he will be back...

I think we should let the time pass before we jump on the retirement road. Felix could easily come back tomorrow and say I am back you know?
Maybe emotions are getting in the way.
Either way it his decision and I dont want to see him get hurt and continue fighting if he has no desire to fight.
loangunZ 05-16-2005, 12:43 PM Man I had 20 bucks on titos dad koing him with corner slaps but he only managed to get two goo ones off and tit was only alittle stunned. He made an easy 10 mil anyone could be happy with that.

Again you people fail to realize that those guys were mandatories. Had Trinidad become a mandatory, Hopkins would have had no problem fighting him. Bernard Hopkins didn't want to fight him, because he sucked. Have you ever not wanted to do something because it was no challenge? That's the case with Hopkins vs. Trinidad.

Point taken and accepted, but people still shouldnt forget that the governing bodies agreed to let the rematch happen and halt all mandatory defenses.
