View Full Version : Respect to Judah
BrooklynBomber 05-15-2005, 09:20 AM Last night Judah showed that he indeed grew up a little bit. He was very respectful about other fighters, apologised and thanked to MGM Grand, was reralistic about his place in boxing(by fighting on the undercard) and acted more or less like a normal person from Brooklyn. So do you respect him more and will you watch his next fights without hope that he is gonna get ko'ed.

Of course he is going to kiss ass, despite being undisputed champion he still has to walk a fine line and one more screw up could end his career.
I like Judah, I like the way he fights and always really have. Judah of the past would run out and just look for the KO but now he waits and picks his shots off and breaks his opponents down which is good.
The thing about Judah though is that he doesnt really fight the top guys and aside from Corley/Spinks/Tszyu he really hasnt fought any other top opposition. So hopefully he doesnt get sidetracked and can get a few more top names on his resume. Once he loses those belts nobody will be willing to fight him again.
Tszyu still kills Judah.
BrooklynBomber 05-15-2005, 09:29 AM Tszyu still kills Judah.
I second that. When Tszyu comes prepared and with the game plan, he is simply unstopable.
the_painless 05-15-2005, 09:37 AM i think judah might wanna try for the fifth but which time kostya well belt his brown;s out

well said.........i can't see Judah being serious about wanting to face Tszyu again though............Tszyu would make him fly like a bird into the crowd from a left hook.
i used to dislike that guy , i thought he was a flshy big mouth who disrespected his opponents and falled apart when put into deep water.
now i m startin to appreciate his skills , and even his guts , going to new orleans for 100k was a big big bet .
im not a fan yet but i ll sure enjoy watching him again.
josenoway 05-15-2005, 10:32 AM I think he's handling himself alot better now.
That loss to Tszyu was probably a huge reason why. Up until then I'm sure he bought into all the hype his entourage whispered into his ear. His behavior after the loss sort of reflected that - he just couldn't believe he lost, went after Nady, and then sort of broke down in tears.
Thank god Nady stopped that fight, though, another exchange with Tszyu and I honestly think he woulda been taken out on a stretcher.
tszyu got lucky in that judah fight..it wasnt the punch that knocked judah out..it was the way he hit his head on the canvis

Tszyu got lucky. It was the socks that hurt judah, not Tszyu's punch. :D :D :D

Zab has also fought Mickey Ward, I think that counts as tough competition.
I think if Tszyu & Judah had a rematch, Jaduh would win. Tszyu is old, Judah is young. Judah has had eight fights since the Tszyu fight, Tszyu has had three fights since.
josenoway 05-15-2005, 10:51 AM I'd love to see a rematch, probably everyone would hehe.
Truth 05-15-2005, 11:01 AM Zab proved he is all buisness and destroyed his opponent with ease then he apologized for his wrong doing after the Tyzsu fight. He has changed...
sisforshaq 05-15-2005, 11:12 AM i would wanna see Judah vs Mosley, i think Zab is good but even though Mosley has aged he gave Winky a good fight and beat ODLH. I think he would beat Judah in a decision.

I think Mosley is shot...
spinksjinx 05-15-2005, 11:32 AM Mosley did not beat DLH in there 2nd fight.
Truth 05-15-2005, 11:34 AM Mosley did not beat DLH in there 2nd fight.
Nope, I agree that fight was BS...Mosley hasn't done anything in like 5 years. Judah would destroy him.
Manny_P 05-15-2005, 11:42 AM Judah can beat de la Hoya, Margarito, Shane Mosley!
sisforshaq 05-15-2005, 03:21 PM [/QUOTE]Mosley did not beat DLH in there 2nd fight
never said he did. He won the first fight though
sisforshaq 05-15-2005, 03:26 PM He hasnt done anything in five years. The last Wright fight was a very close fight. I believe the scoring was 114-114, 113-115 and 113-115.
DLH Mosley 2 was Oscars fight many people think but it still was very close.
Famoso Matador 05-15-2005, 03:45 PM I respect Judah more because he is conistent, and he wasn't an ass. I think he had more self controll, he prabobly could have done to Reivera what he did to Martell. He was calm, cool, and relaxed. He understood that Rivera was nowhere near the top of the food chain but didn't really show off after the win. And yes, i still want to see him get his ass kicked.
Journeyman 05-15-2005, 05:01 PM people that automatically think Tszyu will destroy Judah in a rematch disgust me. Why do you think Judah got right back up like that. He had a lot of his family and friends from Brooklyn in the stands along with his boy Mike Tyson. He eats a signature right hand from Tszyu flush and hits his head hard on the canvas. His legs were done. He showed heart if anything at that. I stress sportsmanship so what he did afterwards was wrong. With a couple more challenging fights under his belt, im hoping for an undisputed welterweight championship megafight rematch between Judah and Tszyu. Tszyu should beat Hatton and punish DLH if he still wants to fight before the rematch.
