View Full Version : iNSANITY!!!! *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-17-2010, 11:46 PM I'm starting Shaun T's Insanity on Monday... I'll let ya'll know how it goes.... iceman1 02-18-2010, 01:58 PM do it man :) is there a nutritional plan for insanity too? Forza 02-18-2010, 03:16 PM Good luck but I don't see why people buy into that ****. Eat right, count your calories and go running every morning and youll be in good shape. Sounds easy right? Well it's hard to stick to and after a few weeks most people fall off and get lazy. *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-18-2010, 11:42 PM do it man :) is there a nutritional plan for insanity too? Yea it does... Good luck but I don't see why people buy into that ****. Eat right, count your calories and go running every morning and youll be in good shape. Sounds easy right? Well it's hard to stick to and after a few weeks most people fall off and get lazy. Somebody else told me about it so I downloaded and decided I'm gonna try it... Running and a regular routine gets boring to me... I need something to follow for now... -Mustang- 02-18-2010, 11:51 PM i'm on this plan also ... i'm on my 2nd week ... ***** is hard as hell considering you don't use any weights ... oc9979 02-18-2010, 11:51 PM I downloaded in iso but idk how to burn it. iceman1 02-19-2010, 03:23 PM I downloaded in iso but idk how to burn it. you tried using daemon tools to burn it? - v e t - 02-19-2010, 03:34 PM i'm on this plan also ... i'm on my 2nd week ... ***** is hard as hell considering you don't use any weights ... yes it is... he works you, thats for certain!!! *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-22-2010, 10:41 AM Day 1 - Fit Test... Started @ 200.6 lbs. Tough work but, not too bad... Just a guage to see where I'm at and I'm way out of shape... I'll keep everyone updated... SkilledB 02-22-2010, 11:12 AM i prefer p90x i feel better after more weight oriented workouts *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-23-2010, 09:53 AM Day 2 - Plyometric Cardio Circuit... WOW! This is some intense stuff... I was struggling throughout... I was sweating halfway through the warmup... Then the circuit they have you do is ridiculous... You really gotta push through these workouts... I'm positive if I keep this up, there will be results... *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-24-2010, 10:00 AM Day 3 - Cardio Power & Resistance... Another difficult day... I've never been a morning person and waking up to do this stuff is making it harder but, giving me more discipline and determination... The crazy stuff in this workout gets your heart pumping and body sweating fast... I needed plenty of breaks throughout the exercises but it felt great to finish... The exercises themselves are not tough but all of them combined and the short rest periods add up... The 8 hop/ 8 push up finisher was devastating... I had a pool of sweat underneath me... I had to keep telling myself, pain is just weakness leaving the body... I know this hard work will pay off... - v e t - 02-24-2010, 10:01 AM i prefer p90x i feel better after more weight oriented workouts me too, but i like the cardio from insanity more, it gets me sweating and "dieing" more :lol1: Day 2 - Plyometric Cardio Circuit... WOW! This is some intense stuff... I was struggling throughout... I was sweating halfway through the warmup... Then the circuit they have you do is ridiculous... You really gotta push through these workouts... I'm positive if I keep this up, there will be results... INSANITY plyo is nuts... worse than p90x plyo IMO iceman1 02-24-2010, 10:04 AM p90x plyo is pretty good *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-24-2010, 10:50 AM me too, but i like the cardio from insanity more, it gets me sweating and "dieing" more :lol1: INSANITY plyo is nuts... worse than p90x plyo IMO p90x plyo is pretty good These two combined statements should tell you how tough INSANITY is... iceman1 02-24-2010, 02:06 PM think ill check insanity out myself as alot of the p90x is pretty easy when you get used to it :) -Mustang- 02-24-2010, 08:08 PM Just did "pure cardio" video .... damn .... i felt like throwing up during the cool down ... good work out though ....:drillserg - v e t - 02-24-2010, 08:09 PM Just did "pure cardio" video .... damn .... i felt like throwing up during the cool down ... good work out though ....:drillserg on your ps3?? i saw you on then off... -Mustang- 02-24-2010, 08:55 PM on your ps3?? i saw you on then off... yeah ... that was when i first turned it on .... you playin MW2? *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-25-2010, 09:30 AM Just did "pure cardio" video .... damn .... i felt like throwing up during the cool down ... good work out though ....:drillserg Yea I hear that is one of the hardest in the beginning stages... I got that on Friday... *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-25-2010, 09:39 AM Day 4 - Cardio Recovery... "Easy" day... Mostly stretching... Don't be confused though, I definitely broke a sweat in this stetching routine... And it worked great... I'm barely sore anymore from not being able to walk straight yesterday... I'm actually thinking about going to play basketball tonight but I'm a little weary since tomorrow is PURE CARDIO! iceman1 02-25-2010, 10:52 AM thumbs up from me keep going dude *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-25-2010, 12:27 PM thumbs up from me keep going dude Thanks son... I'm gonna push through it... -Mustang- 02-25-2010, 06:56 PM just did Plyometric Cardio Circuit for week 2 ... damn ... this felt harder than the first time around ... maybe cuz you push yourself harder :dead1: .... i like how he incorporates, football and boxing (jabs and uppercuts in this video) patpatpts 02-25-2010, 07:45 PM i started downloading insanity 2 days ago hard work on my day 3 alb829 02-25-2010, 07:49 PM Insanity is a beast of a workout. The warmup was even hard. I've done P90X and it has nothing on Insanity. Which is crazy because Insanity really is nothing more than exercises you've done during Football, basketball or some other sport training. But put together with those short breaks makes it hell. Eat right and do it and you can't help but see results. I know I did and I was eating crappy while on it. The greatest part is that anyone really can do it(at their own pace). I literally have my 2 kids 5 and 11 doing with me when I do it. Keep it up! Make sure you take before and after pictures and measurements(weight/body fat). *!#@PBRick@#!* 02-25-2010, 11:32 PM just did Plyometric Cardio Circuit for week 2 ... damn ... this felt harder than the first time around ... maybe cuz you push yourself harder :dead1: .... i like how he incorporates, football and boxing (jabs and uppercuts in this video) Yea... I've always been critical of these infomercial workouts myself... Until I tried this one... Please don't knock this one until you try it... I promise it's the hardest workout I've ever done... FalconsRB 02-27-2010, 09:14 AM keep going! fdotorres 02-27-2010, 01:43 PM I've always been critical of these infomercial workouts myself... Until I tried this one... Please don't knock this one until you try it... I promise it's the hardest workout I've ever done... have you ever tried p90x? Dirt 02-27-2010, 01:54 PM i've done it/ am doing it. i wouldn't use it as my sole workout routine because it just put too much stress on your Central nervous system and joints (esp my knees) my problem with it is that it's not truly "max interval" like it claims. because if you were truly doing max intervals, you'd be tired after 15 min or so. but the workout is about 40-60 min long. if you've done tabata sprints you know that you tire after 8 intervals or so. you would also know you can't/shouldnt be doing it everyday. it's a good cardio workout though. i do it about 2-3 times/week and added it to my routine. i also lift weights, train for boxing (fitness, not comptetitive). dont just stick with 1 thing. you've got to mix and match to find what's right for you. *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-01-2010, 09:28 AM have you ever tried p90x? No I haven't... i've done it/ am doing it. i wouldn't use it as my sole workout routine because it just put too much stress on your Central nervous system and joints (esp my knees) my problem with it is that it's not truly "max interval" like it claims. because if you were truly doing max intervals, you'd be tired after 15 min or so. but the workout is about 40-60 min long. if you've done tabata sprints you know that you tire after 8 intervals or so. you would also know you can't/shouldnt be doing it everyday. it's a good cardio workout though. i do it about 2-3 times/week and added it to my routine. i also lift weights, train for boxing (fitness, not comptetitive). dont just stick with 1 thing. you've got to mix and match to find what's right for you. I want to complete this program before I get into anything else... And it is max interval if you push yourself... If your only going half speed the whole time of course it's not "max"... *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-01-2010, 09:31 AM Day 5 - Pure Cardio... Tough workout once again... A buddy of mine that is a week ahead of me in the program said this one was the worst... It is what it says it is; pure cardio... You warm up, stretch and then there are no breaks until the end (I'd love to see someone finish with no breaks)... It's rough... *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-01-2010, 09:33 AM Day 6 - Plyometric Cardio Circuit... Back to this workout... And it was just as hard as the first time... Plyo might be the worst one for me... This also might be my favorite due to the difficult basketball, football and even boxing type drills... Dirt 03-01-2010, 04:38 PM No I haven't... I want to complete this program before I get into anything else... And it is max interval if you push yourself... If your only going half speed the whole time of course it's not "max"... I understand that u wanna finish. I'm not telling u not to. But I'm saying that anything at max speed will tax you after 15 min or so. The workouts are almost 1hr. So all of it isn't "max interval" only a portion is. Just be careful with your knees cause all the plyo work can do harm. I believe elite athletes only do plyo 3-4 times/ week. Good luck with ur journey! Oh I hate how repetitive it gets, where u have to do the workouts twice in the same week. Which is why I only do each once /week Hi-Dro 03-01-2010, 06:06 PM any link to this thing>? *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-01-2010, 11:04 PM Day 7 - Off... Good to have a day off... *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-02-2010, 09:55 AM Day 8 - Cardio Power & Resistance... Back to the workout and it was just as tough as the first time... My arms and shoulders were killing... This program is great and i cant wait to see the final results... *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-02-2010, 09:58 PM Day 9 - Pure Cardio... I can't decide which one is the hardest... The no break in this one makes it very difficult... I love the hooks and jump rope exercise in this one... *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-04-2010, 02:38 AM Day 10 - Plyometric Cardio Circuit... I FINALLY DID THE WARM UP WITH STOPPING!!! I sound like a puss but the warm up is so much more than a warm up... It's getting kinda repetitive with the same tapes but, at least they are mixed up... Looking forward to the day of stretching tomorrow... Double Jab 03-04-2010, 12:23 PM How are you feeling throughout the day? You noticing any mood changes? Any increased sense of relaxation, are you sleeping better? Basically, how is the one hour of complete kickass making your body feel as a whole, not just burning calories? I ask because instead of 2 and a half hours of medium intensity, one hour of high intensity would be beneficial I know, but if I feel like a skunks butthole then Im willing to put in the extra time. *!#@PBRick@#!* 03-05-2010, 12:17 AM How are you feeling throughout the day? Pure cardio is an animal with the no rest throughout... It's a great workout by itself then for the first time I had to do Cardio Abs right after it... It's gotten a little swollen so I'm not sure how I'm going to do the exercises for the rest of the week... I really just want it to get better by Monday... alexbr 03-26-2010, 04:51 PM Thursday night basketball felt great... I was moving laterally on defense better than I EVER have... I actually weighted myself this morning and it showed that I've gone from 200.6 (start day) to 180.6 (today)... I'm pretty happy with my results so far...
