View Full Version : Is winning worth it? Jordee-G 02-17-2010, 06:45 PM is it worth me saving up for winning gloves of headgear? will they ship to the UK? vercingetorix3 02-17-2010, 06:59 PM If you got the money, it's totally worth it. I do not regret purchasing my 16 oz. Lace-Up Winnings. F l i c k e r 02-17-2010, 07:08 PM Yes and No. Yes, if you plan on making a living as a boxer. No, if you plan to just get a workout with a boxing routine. Jordee-G 02-17-2010, 07:17 PM what if i can save up and just wana see if boxin is my thing and enjoy doing bagwork? F l i c k e r 02-17-2010, 07:26 PM Don't get me wrong, I swear by Winning gloves. Best gloves in the business in terms of protecting your 21's. lol (your hands) But 300 bucks is alot if your just gonna workout a couple times then quit. I say go for it if you want to get into boxing the sport. Not just a quick workout. Jordee-G 02-18-2010, 06:35 AM if i brought them to my gym they would get stolen though :/ fdotorres 02-18-2010, 10:20 AM if i brought them to my gym they would get stolen though :/ lol how would they steal something you have tied up to your hands? i've never had a problem with any of my equipment, just take care of it! Especially if you're not even sure if boxing is your thing yet. Most of the people who have Winning stuff (and I'm not talking pros or serious amateurs) just get it to show off how much money they have and because they hope people will think they are good boxers just because they have the best gear. I had problems with my hands. Did I pay $300 for a pair of the best gloves available? No I paid $80 for a good pair of gloves and then put a piece of sponge inside my wraps for extra protection. Hand problems solved. Jordee-G 02-18-2010, 06:50 PM Don't bother with them. Especially if you're not even sure if boxing is your thing yet. Then if you really like boxing 6 months to a year later get some winning gear. I would get the headgear first. HouSTONER 02-18-2010, 08:51 PM is it worth me saving up for winning gloves of headgear? will they ship to the UK? Just go with Fighting Sports. They are the American version of winning. Check their products out on Title Boxing Dot Com My dad bought my brother the 16oz Winning gloves for Sparring, and I bought Fighting Sports for me when we switched gloves for a day we found they really were the exact same glove. Even when you receive the gloves by mail the little enclosed catalog says Fighting is the American version of Winning for 1/2 the price. Jordee-G 02-19-2010, 05:41 PM i seen your post on that and not one person agree'd lol fdotorres 02-19-2010, 10:37 PM Just go with Fighting Sports. They are the American version of winning.
