Not only that but if he didnt do that aginst Vargas he would have lost.. So here in a nutshell is why Tito ranks amongst the biggest frauds of all time.. He never TRULY beat an elite prizefighter in their respective primes.. He had to cheat to beat Vargas and he didnt really beat DLH.. Hopkins and Winky obliterated him also!!

Well, with Winky... that was teh only place he could land a punch. Winkys D covered his head all the way down to his hips, which is where Tito kept hitting him.

The best part of the low blow fiasco was merchant *****ing about stopping the action to take a point away, and then lederman schooling him on it.

I posted this **** somewheres. I predicted Tito to use his special "low blow" punch for this fight and mind you he did. He'll always do that I think!

Same dirty tactics he used on Vargas. I'd respect Tito more but when he gets frustrated or there's momentum building against him, he does that low swiping punch just underneath the belt. Good for Nady to catch that kind of crap.

As for now? Either go into 2nd retirement or get some major work done on his defense. Winky's pretty much exposed his biggest flaw - everyone's going to come in with the same game plan against Tito now.

Please, lets get off the "low blow" soapbox. Its not the first time a boxer has thrown a low blow for Godsake. Its bound to happen in a fight, whether it be premediated or accidental, so get over it and find something better to try and assasinate a fighters character over.

I got kicked in the balls and hooked in the balls constantly in martial arts tournaments. Never hurt me thanks to the cup. I think boxers complain to gain some breathing room.

You must have some steel balls or have learned the old Chineese trick of moving your balls up into your body cavity - when I was fighting I would fight through the pain - but it really hurt and there wasn't near the money riding on my fights as Wright Tito - i would play for time too - be 100% and then continue.

ah, come on know. tito has a history here. just because tito was intelligent enough to make some of them borderline doesnt mean he wasnt being deliberat. i read an article i think on the sweetscience a couple days ago where they said the commision had asked the ref to take points away from trinidad for lowblows without giving him a warning. wow did winky expose trinidad. i wish tito had more heart and pride and wouldnt retire. there's plenty of money at second tier but i guess he dont need money. i hate seeing him go down as a looser who quit boxing everytime he lost.

I think Jay Nady was actuallly being unfair toward Trinidad in saying which punches were low. A couple times Trinidad uninitentionally hit Wright on the belt line but Nady was giving him a hard time about clean body punches in some cases in my opinion. It had a big impact on the fight I think because Nady being such a stinge about the body punching discouraged Tito from his body attack which is where he was most successfull during the bout. If Tito and Winky do rematch, Trinidad needs to come in moving his head and pound the body. When Trinidad was pounding the body in the early rounds he was looking pretty good. Then he got the low blow warning and desisted from his body attack almost entirely.

I've watched the fight twice and Winky's trunks were too high. It's no wonder Tito couldn't land a decent shot on him. What can you do when your opponent covers up his face with his arms and has his trunks riding all the way up to his elbows. There was literally no place to hit Winky without the ref taking a point.

Winky had great defense and protected his face throughout every round. My point is that when you do that and have your trunks high on your waist, there is no place to hit. Everytime Tito went to the body, it was called low. It's not like I'm trying to make excuses. I'm not a Tito fan, I just know what I saw. The only thing I'm pissed about from the fight is how damn boring it was and how it was a waste of my money and time.
