View Full Version : do you guys think he should retire
It's very simple styles make fights and that's what happened tonight. Winky was smart throught the whole fight never did he give Tito a chance, Unlike Mayorga and Vargas he kept to it popping jabs all night. It was actually kind of embarrasing, the question though do you guys think after tonights performance he should do a rematch retire or do something else?
Round 1 05-15-2005, 12:40 AM After tonight's performance, should Tito go back into retirement?
He needs a new trainer, someone who can bring the old Tito back into the top ten P4P list.
Asking for a rematch against Winky is out of the question, he needs to stand back and regroup before taking on another mega-fight.
You made a smart adjustment in picking Wright to win this fight.

He needs to fight "gamblers"
Rockwell 05-15-2005, 12:42 AM he needs a new dad. :P
BadMagick 05-15-2005, 12:42 AM I hope he continues to fight high class fighters, and his record gets destroyed.

lol yeah I knew this was going to happen, even tried to make a stupid prediction but I really doubted Tito against winky even in a rematch because styles do make fights I dont beleive he should retire but i do think he should move on and avoid Hopkins and Winky Maybe go down in weight.
The Pretender 05-15-2005, 12:43 AM Retire or die. His choice.
Soundtraveler 05-15-2005, 12:43 AM he needs a new dad. :P
LMAO that was a good one!
Tha Greatest 05-15-2005, 12:44 AM Tito was really running his mouth before the fight
He kept talkin about how he would destroy Wright and saying this is the wrong choice for Wright
Sort of reminds me of Mayorga before he got destroyed by Tito
USA4LIFE 05-15-2005, 12:45 AM Thats exactly what i was thinking, he shouldnt retire after this, everyone knows tito can't fight true boxers, so he should move down in weight and give us some of those exciting fights that tito gives us. He is by no means washed up.
drez24 05-15-2005, 12:45 AM We should have a separate poll: Will there be one vote for a rematch?
Natty Dread 05-15-2005, 12:45 AM Retire... :(
PhillySteve 05-15-2005, 12:46 AM He should drop weight & fight in a lighter weight class.. Thats if he still wants to fight..
If I was him I would get a job with De La Hoya & Hopkins & be in charge of developing fighters from Central America...
It's Called PROMOTING all fighters do that **** look at pacman and his corner they got pwned also.
Tha Greatest 05-15-2005, 12:47 AM Trinidads performance over Mayorga was overrated...
and like Merchant said, it took him over 200 punches to knock him out..
Yes it was it was like Winky's against tito neither targer did anything to avoid anything they stood and block shots with there face.
Truth 05-15-2005, 12:48 AM I think retirement is the best thing for Tito at this point.
lol winky lacks some power though i dont see him knocking anyone out in middleweight we have the next hopkins for the next 5 years haha.
The Pretender 05-15-2005, 12:56 AM We should have a separate poll: Will there be one vote for a rematch?
Only if you bring the smelling salts because everyone gonna be KTFO by boredom!
The Italian Stallion 05-15-2005, 01:36 AM I think he has 3 more fights in him. A rematch definitly
Anghell 05-15-2005, 01:48 AM he should just retire. He couldn't do anything against Winky I also think his dad is a horrible trainer. He gives Tito horrible advice in the corner. Tito had a grear career, but no one wants to see him get a beaten like that again.
The Pretender 05-15-2005, 01:53 AM I think he has 3 more fights in him. A rematch definitly
Tito didnt earn a rematch. He gotta at least win one round.
Cambria 05-15-2005, 01:54 AM I think he should drop down in weight. He will never beat winky.
obaioghill 05-15-2005, 03:05 AM It's up to Tito if he should retire or not - but I think he should move on to something else beside Winky - it is like everyone says - he doesnt hang well with real boxers. Blood and guts fights are his specialty and I wouldn't mind seeing him in with another banger - but it is up to him - but I don't think the future holds a middle weight champion belt for him. The guy smacks hard and people always love that.
TheBrownBomber22 05-15-2005, 07:26 AM I agree he should go down to light middle and he could be back on top again, though I think Ouma is quality, and that would be a great fight.
kevvy1979 05-15-2005, 08:28 AM Tito's next fight should be against Kassim Ouma. I encapsulate that point because of Ouma's style. Let’s see if Tito just fought the wrong person with the wrong style. Tito needs to get someone of that similar style (Ouma) to see where Tito is at in this stage of his career.
josenoway 05-15-2005, 11:05 AM I'd hate to see him retire. The heavyweight division already is a dud for me currently, middle and lighter is where all the action is right now and it'd be a shame to lose his exciting fight style.
