I know Tarver's stock has dropped dramatically now that he lost to Glen Johnson but if wins the rematch(which I believe he will)could fight at heavyweight?

Poorly. He'd have to put on too much weight to compete effectively, and I don't believe he could take enough power with him to make for truly exciting fights. If he wants to move up, he should go to cruiser.

Tarver is to lazy and he would get caught. He is in a comfort zone at 175 where no fighter can really do harming danger. If anything Tarver should try to make 168.

Tarver is a bum.

I don't like Tarver but a bum may be going a little too far. I believe he is very overated though.

Aside from his clean punch landing on Jones (who was never really tested to begin with) what has he done to garner any credible respect.

His KO win over Jones is forgotten now that 2 men have done it.

I believe Glens KO is more devastating as he just beat the hell out of Jones from the opening bell.

All of the following are true:

1) Tarver is a good fighter.

2) Tarver has problems with focus and confidence.

3) Tarver came along at the right time to beat Roy.

4) Glen Johnson is a good fighter past his prime.

5) Tarver is not a big enough threat for him to truly be able to defeat a prime Jones.

6) Same goes for Glen Johnson.

7) Tarver and Johnson are the best because Roy isn't anymore, similar to the Holmes-Ali transition.

you all don't like Tarver because he disrespected RJJ. He was trying to get a fight, Roy had been ducking him for a while. Even though Tarver was robbed in the 1st fight, he came back stronger and KO'd roy the next time around. As for the Glen fight, he just out boxed glen the whole fight, landing almost 100 more power shots, and countered him perfact all night. Glen only got that gift decision because he kept coming forward although he was getting punished everytime he came in. Tarver has skills. everyone is talking about roy's age, keep in mind they are the same age.

no way tarver got robbed i had the fight for jones although not by much, jones deserved the win as i believe and the HBO crew he pulled it out in the championship rounds, but no one really deserved this fight, anyway no one got robbed, you can make a case for both guy(i think jones pulled it out) but nobody was robbed.
