I was just watching the Trinidad vs. Mayorga fight and remembered the Brewster/Wlad fight and was wondering who is the Toughest fighter right now and why. I talking about the guys with little to no defense who can continue to eat shots and keep going. I'm taking Brewster because he takes alot of heavy shots from the big heavyweights, and continues to fight never being KO'd

I took Mayorga, his chin coupled with his macho antics makes every fight fun. Except against Spinks, of course.

Mayorga is the toughest, he proved that in his fight with Tito Trinidad.

I voted for JLC as the toughest of the fighters in the poll. All of them are arguably the toughest collection of fighters in the sport without a doubt. Brewster is the toughest heavyweight and I can understand why you would say he is the toughest fighter. Being that he was sustaining heavy shots on a broken jaw from meehan as well.

Interesting thread man... I reckon the toughest son of a ***** out there is Erik Morales.

He's had LOADS of wars and has only ever been put on his arse once! (Morales vs Barrera 1) - And that looked like more of a slip than a legitimate knock down.

He's one tough Mexican fighter!

But I like Mayorga/Corrales/Pacquiao/Barrera/Gatti/and a load of others in this catogory too!

Corrales or Gatti, true warriors, unlike others who jump on bandwagons, I didnt forget "blood and guts" Gatti.

I have to go with corrales, he kept getting up after getting knocked down by mayweather and his corner stopped the fight, nit the ref...He walked through freitas's power and made him quit, and he got the sh*t beat out of him last weekend and still knocked otu castillo, a fighter that has never been stopped, not even by the Great Floyd Mayweather...

I vote for Ruiz because he's the toughest fighter by far and that's obvious. Ruiz fight anyone and everyone else ducks him!

there are so many boxers who are very tough, i don't think there is one guy who stands out on their own as being the toughest, the guys on the poll are very tough, but there are many others as well

Tszyu, has he been pounded on before like the others i have on the list or is he just your favorite fighter? i'm sure he is tough but i have never really seen him in an all out war, but i have only seen a few of his fights where he just dominated

JLC is the toughest... EASILY and by a long shot.

Yeah I don't think Tszyu really fits into this catorgory either. Don't get me wrong he's a tough man, but I've got a lot of his fights on vid and the only WAR I've ever really seen hin in was against Vince Phillips. (And he got knocked out).

He tends to either KO the opponent, or just out box them, and run away with it on points. I don't think he opts for toe-2-toe wars... Mind you, I reckon Ricky Hatton is gonna drag him into one in 3 weeks time!!!

arfe you talking about david estrada, the guy who just lost to sugar shane and isha smith? yeah he does ave a good chin, i don't think it has been tested as much as the others on this list

1-Mayorga(watch tito/mayorga...at a weight he had no business at,it took 8-9rounds to finally put him down and walked back to his corner on his own feet,unlike Tito having to be held by his dad after Hopkins KO

2-Gatti(watch Ward/gatti trilogy especially 9thround of first fight...infact..watch any fight gatti has been in)

3-Corrales(god knows i hate the man,but u can drop him and he will jsut keep coming)

4-Castillo(he's only 4th cuz just recently we saw how toght he is..but the man will be ranked higher with years to come and has a lot of heart also)
