Tyson will always have a punchers chance. But before he can fight for a title, he has to climb back up to the top contender status. I don't think he's capable of that anymore. I'm a vintage Tyson fan but boxing seems to have past him bye.

i would think VK would be the only person that would give mike a shot, because of the money it would bring. I'm not a tyson fan, but tyson can beat anyone (except holyfield) on any giving night. he will always have a punchers chance, like foreman did towards the end of his career. VK would have to fight a very smart fight to win.

I don't think tyson will be champ again but i'd give him a chance against john ruiz out of the four.
It's nice to see him in-shape, at least he looks like he's trying to turn back the years a little bit, but i'm afraid that we'll get the same old story he'll ko some bums then early next year (if he manages to make it) he'll fight a top 15er and probably get beat, except for ruiz of course ;)

I am waiting to see what Tyson weighs in at vs McBride if it is anywhere near the range of 220 pounds, that means he is training hard and serious about this comeback in that case he can take down anything them. I doubt however Tyson will get anywhere near 220 he will probably weigh in vs McBride at a pathetic like 234 or something.

IF Tyson got into shape he could beat Vitali. Tyson did not even train for the Williams fight or Lewis fight. Against Lewis he came in at 234 against Williams he came in at 233. Those were both career highs I think. In his comeback in the the early 2000's against Golota Francois Botha etc.. he was at least able to get down to like 222 against Golota, that was the best condition he was in, in a long time. His prime weight is 217 218 but 222 is fine if he gets anywhere nere 222 and stays there then he can take Vitali or anybody else down IMO.

To be honest with you, I don't even think Tyson wants to fight anymore. I think he's tired of it all, but greedy promoters and managers manipulate him and they want to try and squeeze the last pennies they can out of him before he becomes completely unmarketable like Holyfield.

This is becoming a dangerous stage of Tyson's career now... Coz' he's become vunerable. I just hope he doesn't take too many bad beatings from guy's that wouldn't be fit to lace his boots, Like what happened to Ali.

I hate the way greedy people (managers/promoters/tv networks) are able to **** on a once great fighter, put him in harms way for a tiny percentage of what his earning value used to be.

I don't think Tyson really wants to fight anymore either. He's like Ray Robinson now, fighting for money because he owes millions. Hopefully his life won't end in the same way as Robinson.

Tyson would have a HARD time getting back to the weights he was fighting at when he was in his early twenties. The guy is 39 now. There could be a huge difference in his metabolism between now and even 2000. Tyson could train like a maniac and maybe never get down below 220. Looking at the pics, he does look lighter, so I believe that he may be around 220.

Here's hoping for a good fight from Tyson.

honetsly i voted for he will never be champ again but chris byrd is tailor made for tyson. chris byrd is a slick counter puncher and his power wouldnt be great enough to keep tyson off of him. he can only counter so many punches before he gets caught... see byrd vs ibeabuchi. it took him 4 rounds but ibeabuchi kept the pressure on until he landed that bomb

Tyson really only trained hard once since biting Holyfield, he weighed in at 218 for bite night and 222 for the first holyfield fight. Against Golota he got back down to 222. Right after that fight he went way up to 229 then he was a pathetic 239 vs Nielson and 234 vs Lewis 233 vs Williams.

I know that uppercut that Ike landed on Byrd was outstanding, but I always thought that even though Byrd was drooling on himself a bit, he should have been given a bit longer in that fight.
