View Full Version : If Tyson Becomes Champ again! Bad Intentions 05-13-2005, 12:08 AM Whos belt will it be and why? Bad Intentions 05-13-2005, 12:10 AM Ima say Ruiz just because he is #8 in the WBA !! Mr. Soprano 05-13-2005, 12:15 AM Can we PLEASE stop posting all these nonsense Tyson threads? Bad Intentions 05-13-2005, 12:16 AM how bout u just stop posting in them!! that would be good also. Torino 05-13-2005, 12:44 AM Tyson will always have a punchers chance. But before he can fight for a title, he has to climb back up to the top contender status. I don't think he's capable of that anymore. I'm a vintage Tyson fan but boxing seems to have past him bye. The Pretender 05-13-2005, 12:50 AM Tyson will never be a champ again. Why? Because Ruiz the true champ. Moon 05-13-2005, 12:59 AM ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz z z z z z z z z z z Did somebody say something? No? OK ............. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Moon 05-13-2005, 01:01 AM Who's belt will it be and why? My grandpa's belt. Because he don't need it anymore to hold up his pants. TheGreat1 05-13-2005, 03:06 AM i would think VK would be the only person that would give mike a shot, because of the money it would bring. I'm not a tyson fan, but tyson can beat anyone (except holyfield) on any giving night. he will always have a punchers chance, like foreman did towards the end of his career. VK would have to fight a very smart fight to win. jpboxer3 05-13-2005, 03:16 AM Whos belt will it be and why? The only reason your posting these threads is to display your Av/Sig?..........Brilliant stuff I'm tired of hearing about Tyson, and how he's in shape and how rejuvenated he looks, lol.Fact is,he's done and has been for more than five years now.I would love to see Tyson-Butterbean though,LMFAO! Prostitroop 05-13-2005, 03:25 AM C'mon guys... This is just a "What If?" thread. theironone 05-13-2005, 03:42 AM I don't think tyson will be champ again but i'd give him a chance against john ruiz out of the four. It's nice to see him in-shape, at least he looks like he's trying to turn back the years a little bit, but i'm afraid that we'll get the same old story he'll ko some bums then early next year (if he manages to make it) he'll fight a top 15er and probably get beat, except for ruiz of course ;) The Troll 05-13-2005, 03:46 AM I am waiting to see what Tyson weighs in at vs McBride if it is anywhere near the range of 220 pounds, that means he is training hard and serious about this comeback in that case he can take down anything them. I doubt however Tyson will get anywhere near 220 he will probably weigh in vs McBride at a pathetic like 234 or something. theironone 05-13-2005, 03:55 AM Mckay do you think he looks good in the above pic i posted, i got to admit a couple of weeks before the fight and he looks very good to me, like he's laid off the weights a little, i think he should be 220 - 225 ideally tho Bad Intentions 05-13-2005, 04:03 AM I think he looks like he coulda fight tomorrow. I just dont wanna see this happen, Tysons training really hard for McBride, He will beat him easily, I just hope he trains this hard when he get a title shot next year. Martin (Top Knowledge) 05-13-2005, 04:51 AM I can't believe some people actually think Tyson would be able to beat Vitali now  . After the Williams nightmare... Tyson was great in his day but come on guy's, he's coming off a KO loss to Danny Williams + he's 40yrs old. The Troll 05-13-2005, 04:57 AM I can't believe some people actually think Tyson would be able to beat Vitali now  . After the Williams nightmare... Tyson was great in his day but come on guy's, he's coming off a KO loss to Danny Williams + he's 40yrs old. IF Tyson got into shape he could beat Vitali. Tyson did not even train for the Williams fight or Lewis fight. Against Lewis he came in at 234 against Williams he came in at 233. Those were both career highs I think. In his comeback in the the early 2000's against Golota Francois Botha etc.. he was at least able to get down to like 222 against Golota, that was the best condition he was in, in a long time. His prime weight is 217 218 but 222 is fine if he gets anywhere nere 222 and stays there then he can take Vitali or anybody else down IMO. Tyson's a shot fighter. He can boil himself down to 218lbs but that ain't gonna help him. He's 40yrs old, and he's a 3 round fighter now, He's running down the same road as Holyfield. They all wanna fight him because he's a great name to have on their resume. To be honest with you, I don't even think Tyson wants to fight anymore. I think he's tired of it all, but greedy promoters and managers manipulate him and they want to try and squeeze the last pennies they can out of him before he becomes completely unmarketable like Holyfield. This is becoming a dangerous stage of Tyson's career now... Coz' he's become vunerable. I just hope he doesn't take too many bad beatings from guy's that wouldn't be fit to lace his boots, Like what happened to Ali. I hate the way greedy people (managers/promoters/tv networks) are able to **** on a once great fighter, put him in harms way for a tiny percentage of what his earning value used to be. I do feel sorry for Mike Tyson. Red_Menace 05-13-2005, 07:02 AM I'm sorry fella but I have to dissagree... Tyson's a shot fighter. He can boil himself down to 218lbs but that ain't gonna help him. I do feel sorry for Mike Tyson. I don't think Tyson really wants to fight anymore either. He's like Ray Robinson now, fighting for money because he owes millions. Hopefully his life won't end in the same way as Robinson. Tyson would have a HARD time getting back to the weights he was fighting at when he was in his early twenties. The guy is 39 now. There could be a huge difference in his metabolism between now and even 2000. Tyson could train like a maniac and maybe never get down below 220. Looking at the pics, he does look lighter, so I believe that he may be around 220. Here's hoping for a good fight from Tyson. czars_salad 05-13-2005, 07:30 AM if tyson becomes champ again, i'll post a picture of mine masturbating :p cupcrazy01 05-13-2005, 10:42 AM Fights with anyone other than Vitali will be difficult because Don King controls everyone else, and we all know that DK will want to screw Mike on purse and demand options if he somehow wins a title...and who knows if Vitali will even have a belt when and IF Tyson becomes a legit contender... leff 05-13-2005, 11:34 AM no matter how much i love mike, i admit that he was done a long time ago. he is capable of beating some bums, but wont take a tittle.(maybe ruiz). Floydmayweather 05-13-2005, 03:27 PM Tyson will kill guys like Byrd i dont care what anyone says. Bryd will be a dead man. His punches will do nothing to Tyson and Tyson will know it, ko in 4. Against Ruiz he has a good shot. He can still beat Golata who is afraid of Tyson. ANd Calvin Brock please his head will be knocked off. Tyson is not in his prime but that does not mean he cant fight in shape and win. Bad Intentions 05-13-2005, 03:46 PM Tyson will kill guys like Byrd i dont care what anyone says. My point exactley Bad Intentions 05-13-2005, 03:48 PM people say he cant do it because thats the was it seems, Tyson probally hasnt trained properly since Holyfield. So how do people kno what Tyson can do if he is trained properly. Give the man some credit for steppin in the ring at 39. Truth 05-13-2005, 05:07 PM I think Tyson could win a fringe belt like the WBO championship. The Fix 05-13-2005, 06:36 PM honetsly i voted for he will never be champ again but chris byrd is tailor made for tyson. chris byrd is a slick counter puncher and his power wouldnt be great enough to keep tyson off of him. he can only counter so many punches before he gets caught... see byrd vs ibeabuchi. it took him 4 rounds but ibeabuchi kept the pressure on until he landed that bomb The Troll 05-13-2005, 06:39 PM people say he cant do it because thats the was it seems, Tyson probally hasnt trained properly since Holyfield. So how do people kno what Tyson can do if he is trained properly. Give the man some credit for steppin in the ring at 39. Tyson really only trained hard once since biting Holyfield, he weighed in at 218 for bite night and 222 for the first holyfield fight. Against Golota he got back down to 222. Right after that fight he went way up to 229 then he was a pathetic 239 vs Nielson and 234 vs Lewis 233 vs Williams. It's sad to say, but Mike would probably be the betting favorite vs. any title-holder not named Vitali The Pretender 05-13-2005, 09:00 PM great point, Byrd would crumble after 1 clean shot from Aluminum Mike, it's all about when in fact he catches up 2 the Byrdman, it may take him 10-12 rounds of eating jabs to finally get that 1 shot in there.... If that's the case Byrd beats Tyson then because he can't go three rounds without quitting or being DQ. Tyson has the mental fortitude of a grapenut. Tyson is over the world famous, hehehehehe! Keleneki 05-14-2005, 01:27 AM I don't know about Tyson beating Byrd. I kind of think that Bryd will outbox Tyson the way he did to Tua. I know that uppercut that Ike landed on Byrd was outstanding, but I always thought that even though Byrd was drooling on himself a bit, he should have been given a bit longer in that fight. I think Byrd has a great chin. Bad Intentions 05-14-2005, 02:25 AM I don't know about Tyson beating Byrd. I kind of think that Bryd will outbox Tyson the way he did to Tua.
