Haven't we established that boxrec rankings are based on a formula that makes some rankings appear ridiculous? Ruiz at #4 is far from the most absurd ranking. Do some looking.

It's surprising the ratings turn out so well just by crunching a few numbers. I mean, they're not perfect by any means, but they're definitely decent.

Neils, this was to make The Pretender feel good.. I assumed for Ruiz to drop down to like 7-8

Yeah I seen that on some other boxing sites. Its always a mistake to count out Ruiz. History shows he takes a bad loss and turns it into gold with a comeback...did it twice before.

Since he's #4 still you can see why Brewster-Golota winner is a potential fight for him to get a belt again. He's still a top 5 contender.

Adamek is fighting for a vacant lt. heavyweight belt and is ranked 27; Felix Sturm is the #13 Middleweight?

He's not ranked by the WBO.

I imagine if he's not WBA champ, though, they'll rank him. How often do the alphabet organizations put out their Top 15? Anyone know?

Another thing, how that bs when you look at the records of the HW division fighters today. Ruiz was 5-2-1 for title defenses before Toney. That's still better than the other fighters who too chicken**** to fight anyone out there.
