View Full Version : How many fights does Tszyu have left?
Brz_Pugilist 05-08-2005, 11:52 PM I always pose this ?, the guy is 35, how many fights does Kostya have left?Too me i think he has at least 4 fights left in him. These are the fights that could make his career even better. This is if he gets by Hatton
1Floyd Mayweather
2Oscar De La Hoya-if he moves up to 147
3Zab Judah-once again this time at 147
4Diego Corrales-If he moves up to 140
onetwopunch 05-08-2005, 11:56 PM 3 Floyd, Judah and either Cotto or Corrales.
Round 1 05-09-2005, 12:17 AM Who's that on your avatar? looks like a young Eder Jofre.
Brz_Pugilist 05-09-2005, 12:28 AM Yep, thats Eder Jofre, very underrated fighter.
the_painless 05-09-2005, 01:19 AM after hatton i think he has 2 left. i don't think judah will get his rematch- i say floyd and corrales
The Teacher 05-09-2005, 01:23 AM Yep, thats Eder Jofre, very underrated fighter.
Is that dustin diamond in you avatar?
Brz_Pugilist 05-09-2005, 01:28 AM LMAO,it does look like screech, one thing on Jofre, the guy was never knocked down, amazing, considering the number of fights he had.
moochi 05-09-2005, 03:52 AM Proviiding King Kostya gets by Hatton, he will have one, or maybe two more fights......most likely against Gatti and perhaps Judah.
Although I can only see him having one more after hatton and it will be a mega fight against a big gun like Gatti, DLH.
Tszyu wants 2 fights.
1st choice - to fight for the welterweight championship.
2nd choice - to fight Floyd.
He will retire sooner rather than later.
Shaolin Bushido 05-09-2005, 04:13 AM I was gonna say 3 tops; no way he'll linger around much after age 36. I just don't see him as the type who NEEDS boxing. He always talks of his family and I believe that's the only reason he's still fighting. His name and earning potential are the best they've ever been and he wants to capitalize and get out.

I like that lineup but I would also like him to get a huge money fight with gatti as well. I would probab;y put that between oscar and zab.
dcgun 05-09-2005, 04:46 AM I wouldn't be surprised if he kept boxing to 40 like hopkins. He doesn't rely on speed, so it is foreseable that he could be around for a little while yet.
Martin (Top Knowledge) 05-09-2005, 05:46 AM Interesting thread man... ;)
I reckon there's a big "IF" he get's past Hatton, (Hatton is gonna be one hell of a tough fight for him).
He's not the most active fighter, and tends to fight only once or twice a year.
I think the boxing drug maybe too much for him, and he'll continue to fight till he get's beaten, (Then announce his retirement).
"IF" he get's past Hatton, 2-3 yrs or 3-4 fights. :dunno:
