Tyson is a smarter man than he's given credit.The guy did a greater job in promoting himself and the sport than any other boxer or promoter did of Tyson's time.

Mike did a lot of good promoting boxing from 1986 until the time he went to prison. After prison he was known more for doing the wrong things rather than his boxing ability.
I haven't checked out the link above and I have no intention to, Mikes career started in 1986 and ended in 1988 as far as I'm concerned.

Tyson's hunger and desire to box ended in 88. He didn't really take it seriously, hence the loss to Douglas. If you watch him from 85-88 he was unstoppable.

even during retirement mike is still gold. In his tyson movie he described don king as reptilian. lol. In the oprah show he said something like "there will be dire consequences if you violate my emotions." wow.

Tyson was frightening in those years no doubt. No fighter is unstoppable though. Tyson just hadn't run into the right fighter with the right style at that time.
