A lie you could use for math homework.....would be that you were busy studying for another course....that is always the best one to use. I would have about a 50/50 chance of getting by using that excuse when I was in college....and sometimes it really paid off. Keep in mind, that is only a short term excuse to avoid getting a "0". Your teacher more than likely will make you submit make up assignments, or tell you to turn the homework at a later time.
