I think Corrales would beat Morales he is a dynamic fighter with good power and handspeed that can fight and win alot of different styles. He also has the size, speed, and the power, and he proved he can fight toe to toe with the best of the Mexican fighters for 10 rounds, and get off the Canvas to win.

Morales said he is going up to Lightweight so if he has any intentions of winning titles in that divison he will have to go through Corrales, plus both guys stock are very high right now so Morales would probably make more money fighting Corrales than practically anybody else.

Cotto has sparked in interest in the winner of this fight, If Corrales would move up that would be great but not needed. 140 is a different ballpark and Corrales can make bigger money and bigger fights if the 130 pound fights moved up.

Morales gets hit a lot though...he is no defensive wizard and Corrales is lightyears above anyone he has faced in terms of punching power and size...Corrales will not be stopped either...Morales doesn't have the quickness and sharp accuracy of Floyd nor the power to really hurt Corrales bad...now I believe ANY man can hurt another man with a clean punch with muster behind it, but I don't see Morales hurting Corrales...Morales is not a big puncher, he doesn't throw punches with mean intentions like Corrales...

Ever pictured Castillo getting stopped on wobbly legs? Corrales showed his power and if Morales gets shaken by superfeatherweights, Corrales' power would put him to sleep.

If this fight ever happens, no way Morales is gonna pull a kamikaze and fight Corrales like Castillo did. He'll use his boxing skills but Corrales puts his punches together so well, he's bound to catch El Terrible with something big.

erik morales has granite in his chin but so did castillo . morales has good boxing skills i had picked him to loose against pac man because i thought he would let his pride get in the way and brawl but he did not he outboxed pac and brawled with him in when he wanted to . chcico carries alot more power than pac and with goosen he can box and make adjustments this is another fight of the year if it happens i pick chico by tko in the 11 th. but this would mean showtime and hbo getting together for a joint venture they did it for tyson vs. lewis but i don't know if they would now because showtime is on fire.

Morales is tough but he really didn't carry his power or speed up from the lower weight class & that's what you need in order to beat Chico. He try & box for a while but all it takes is a left hook & or a hard right hand from Chico & Morales is in serious trouble. He's NEVER been hit with the kind of power Chico carries & I don't see him even trying to get in the ring with him anytime soon. I don't even think that Morales could beat Castillo, he'd get worn out & stopped late by him.

All I gotta say is don't ever underestimate Morales.
If the fight happens I expect him at the very least to go out like a warrior...

There is no way Morales stands any chance against Chico. He isn't sharp enough, big enough, strong enough. I like both fighters, but Chico does major damage to Eric.

If they fight, Morales will be Kayoed for the first time. He has never been Koed but he has been hurt. And at times looked extrememly vulnerable. Corrales might be his toughest opponent ever and I to those who can't see Morales get stopped, I just can't picture Morales not getting Kayoed being that Morales loves to stand toe to toe.

I made this poll because I knew right away after the Castillo fight that Goosen and Corrales would not want to fight Castillo again. I knew they would target Morales because Morales had said recently on several occasion he was going up to 135. I knew they wanted this fight too because Morales is a huge name and the maybe the most popular Mexican fighter. I made this poll like 7 hours after the fight happened and what do you know now Goosen has officially called out Morales.

overwhelming conceses is Corrales by KO. Morales as the underdog for sure if they fight. Alot off Mexicans might make alot of money of their boy if he pulls it out. Odds would be like 4-1 for this fight in favor of Corrales.
