The thing with Jay is... he always takes some of the most notable lines from BIG... the obvious lines. I never took it as him trying to bite his lyrics, of anything I think he does it out of respect.... They were real close friends, and BIG is one of Jay's favorite rappers.

Yeah I agree with it about Biggie but the guy has used a lot of lines from people like Big L,Eminem,Snoop,Slick Rick,Nas.
He does use obvious lines though so unless your a complete noob u should know whos lines they are really from.

I understand why people might not like Jay for doing such things, but all rappers do it really. It's not like he jacks an entire verse from these guys, he'll take a line or two and use them to his advantage on track, and expand upon them. Here's an example:

Biggie: Your reign on the top was short like leprechauns/While I crush so-called willies, thugs and rapper dons

jay was never anything that great to me, he had some talent but not alot.

Seriously? Another thread about this ****? Just like any other rapper, you can pick from a handfull of reasons to hate on them but i dont consider this one to have any validity. Yea Jays taken some of bigs lyrics but how much of his **** has he written...or excuse me, freestyled? Even if u say 5% of his rhymes are stolen, with all the songs hes made thats not really that many. All im sayin is if your gonna hate on him, find better reasons...anything that has to do with him biting, or him not having classic albums just makes the person saying it look bad.
