I just saw this in the theater today, and I have to say that I liked it alot. It had its flaws but overall it was a good look at the human condition. I was curious if anybody else had seen it and what their thoughts were. As a secondary question to that, I would especially be curious what people from LA thought of it.

I'm guessing you're not talking about the 'Crash' with Holly Hunter, Elias Koteas, James Spader & Roseanna Arquette where these people have sex fetishes involving steel, vehicles & car crashes...

If you saw the Paul Haggis film, I can't contribute the conversation since I haven't seen it yet - but I commend you for seeing something besides XXX2 or Sahara, which is often the type of film people want to discuss when it comes to new movies (this is where I would insert a smilie if I did that sort of thing)

Hahaha, nope I am not talking about the Spader film, although that movie was pretty good itself-- even if a little bit strange (go IFC haha). I recomend the Paul Haggis movie though- it is obviously very well made, and at the least inspires some interesting coversation. As for XXX or Sahara, not exactly my cup of tea!

surely it would take less time to insert a smilie than to type that out.

On this I am inclined to agree, he has been a very good actor in a variety of movies and still (until last year) did not seem to get the credit that he deserves.

Gary Cole is still waiting for his deserved credit...

Crash might be the movie I'll drag my mom to see.

I've also just got a $5 off coupon to see The Longest Yard. What I'll actually do is get the Longest Yard ticket and go see a better film. Either Star Wars or Hitchhiker's Guide probably. It'll just depend on what is playing at the same time as the Longest Yard.

....I like Adam Sandler, but the idea of him playing Burt's role in that film is a joke!!! Reynolds exuded sex appeal and charisma. The only thing Sandler exudes is humor and dufus!!!!
