Calzaghe beat Veit in the first rd last time a few years back. The Newspapaers in England have reported that Calzaghe is very unhappy with one of the judges being a german and has stated that because of this is gunning for a quick KO!

That sounds like a good plan cos some of the German decisions recently have been awful so I hope he knocks Veit out to stop any controversy.

Imagine beaing a undefeated fight since you were in the amateurs and getting beat on a bad decision. I dont think Calzaghe should have gone to Germany, if it goes to point the German will win every time.

well if you have a satellite receiver, you can watch it live on ZDF..............the coverage will start at 2330 german time..............

believe me guys, this is going to be the most difficult fight of joe's career......germany is the worst place in the world you want to fight, as all their fighters are instructed to run and jab, and they are guaranteed the decision....

i just hope that joe can knock this guy out.

The big difference is that Calzaghe has the balls to go for a KO and Reid didnt. I know that the ref was the worst i've ever seen but i'd rather get disqualified than get robbed, Reid must have known that was going to happen.

I bought a Calzaghe ticket for Belfast, travelled there, got hotels etc and he pulled out 24 hours before, there was an Irish fighter I liked so I still went but Calzaghe has ripped off fans an awful lot recently and I really wished that German whooped him or better yet he gets ripped off, no go tonight but it will happen as soon as he steps up which I doubt he ever will the bum.

Watched the fight life. Calzaghe had a good outing against an average Mario Veit. He's gotten older though, in the first rounds Veit was able to catch him with an occasional right. Calzaghe clearly won every round though and really, really should step up now.

Joe is the man. All the yank fighters are scared **** of him. Hopkins has been avoiding him for years. Jones was a another one.

Dont think there is a black boxer in the world that woul want to fight joe.

this was another worthless win for calzaghe that proves nothing, he beat the guy in a round last time, veit has improved a bit since then but is still robotic, his next fight is supposed to be aganist lacey provided lacey beats reid, at least that should be better than this garbage

Mario Veit's people got the fight against Magee cancelled. How is this Calzaghe's fault? Have a word with yourself mate. At best, you can blame the promoters about getting your ticket money back but even that's your own chance. You know what happens in the fight game.
