With all the threads about the War in Iraq, peoples opinions on Bush and his administration, and so on, I figured I would make a thread and a short list (all facts) of who has the nuclear warheads in the world, and why we would be afraid of them.

The United States has about 7,200
Russia has more than 5,000
France has 350
China has over 300
The United Kingdom has a little over 200


North Korea is believed to have Nuclear weapons, as they said they do. We (the usa) are not afraid that North Korea would use these against us, but are afraid they would attack Japan, and we would have to go over and aid them with melee forces.

Israel is also believed to have many, many Nuclear Warheads in their country, but we are not 100% sure if they do or not.

Iraq was planning on getting nuclear materials, and making nuclear warheads, but it was all halted when they entered the war with us, and they have not yet began rebuilding nuclear materials, which also could be used for mass energy for their country.

Russia has nuclear materials they are planning to sell to Iran, so that Iran can use it for power reasons, to make energy for their country, and in return will help out Russia with money issues they are currently facing. Russia is planning to meet with the Bush administration and make an agreement so that a treaty which is void now (and has been since The Korean war) will be lifted in order for Bush to do things he wants with missiles. Bush at this time does not want Iran having nuclear materials, but will probably agree if Russia agrees to lift the Treaty we share with them.

Many smaller countries tend to say they have nuclear weapons, when in reality they do not, and just say it so people would possibly fear them, and leave them alone.





I'm only 16, as many of you may know, But I wrote all that myself, from notes I have taken in school, and from some things I researched on the web, this should be a good topic, I hope everyone has many opinions on it.

That's a good synopsis Atwa, even though you probably know that we don't exactly see eye-to-eye on things, I appreciate the objectivity of your report.

The only places you missed were India and Pakistan, though you have them in the visual. Actually in the early 90s they came quite close to possibly starting a nuclear war.
