What is your favorite boxing website and why? This is a cool site but I just like the forum. you can't beat boxrec.com for stats and records but what about news? does anyone read the news or just look for schedules and results? I think i'm guilty.

THIS IS A FANTASTIC WEBSITE BUT THERE TOO MUCH BULL**** POSTED AND A FEW TOO MANY CHILDREN WHO NEED TO GROW UP.

too many threads on the same issue and too many insults, we the posters can do something about that. :o

I mean threads such as Tito is a cheat that get 5-6 pages of discussion, well i dont even bother accessing them.

Most of it is fan based bollocks with little or no substance

or if you favroute boxer was gay, you know, what the **** you on about ...? Theres plenty to talk about in the world of boxing without resorting to that and dumbing down the site.

best posting forum is undoubtedly box rec, the knowledge on there is incredible sometimes. But its aimed at a different audience, you'd be banned in a jiffy for half the **** that gets spoken on here. (cue the idiot above who retorted to a sensible question with 74 version of mofo, get a life or keep taking the tablets pal.)

This place has fantastic articles on here and on the postive side some knowledgable and pleasant people, (Barry, Spinx jinx, Jomapac, Bombadier, marvedave, Munn, rockin, Jabs) to name just a few.

So yeah great site but sometime you just have to wade through pages of benile dribble to get at the decent posts.

if I get banned for saying the above then so be it, but Im sure Mr Reeno is bigger than that and can take a bit of constructive appraisal. (after all he is doing a top job its some of the folk who post that let him down.)

as for my favourite site its gotta be the one i work for. ;)

i'll answer this with ethical precision so i won't be burned by JPW :p

only boxingsites i have only been into are boxingscene.com, maxboxing.com, mannypacquiao.ph, boxrec.com and ringtalk.com...

i am a member of mannypacquiao.ph and this site... i like the former because obviously i am a fan, but i don't like the forum style that much... so my favorite is this site since we pinoys have our own lounge (thanks again Rick) and it's much easier to read and post... and the point system and the betting is great... and the occasional trash talking is also cool... :D

I totally agree with you man... There are a lot of stupid kids on this website that start threads like, Which animal would you most like to KO?.... And it get's 50 odd replies :dunno: lol...

And when some of them disagree with my opinion, (eg... I don't think Bernard is the P4P No.1) They resort to calling me a mofo F****** B******* etc etc... Instead of having a discussion and listening to my opinion and why I think that.

Everyone has a right to an opinion, and that's what makes this sport so interesting.

Personally I think the most up to date for boxing news is http://www.*********.com

For good articles go to http://www.secondsout.com, some of the writers on there write some really interesting articles like that Thomas Hausser etc...

This is the best forum for boxing, ******** and boxing insider is a lot worst, but the quality has went downhill a bit but still is the best.

My favorite boxing website overall is ********* they stay pretty up to date on news, scheduling, and photos....It was the first boxing website I was ever at and I like there layout. Plus they report a lot of news and backup a lot of their reports.

fight nreews i sup to date but they do publish a lot of spurious stories that turn out to be damp squibs from what ive heard.

for me the integrity of site must come first and foremost.

I'll tell you one website I'm NOT a fan of is http://www.**********.net, It's like some sort of propaganda boxing American :trink26: pissed something website... LOL!...

I think a lot of the writers on there are up their own arse's...

And it seems to be a vanity thing between them rather than reporting about boxing.

+ It's very tabloid, WWE wrestling approach to reporting boxing... Uhhmmm... What I mean is they have a title for an article like eg. HOPKINS: "TAYLOR EATS ****!" and then a couple of articles later you get TAYLOR: "HOPKINS MOTHER WILL DIE!"

And just loads of bull**** like that... D'you know what I mean... LOL!... I didn't explain it very well. ;)

I have never read much BS on there site, I dont read through every article either. But everyone that sparks my interest hasnt been BS.

Everybody knocks Fight News and I dont know why, I would like to see an example of where they bull****ted a story.

I recall one time they had an article up and within an hour retracted it with a statement saying it was false but other than that, no problems and no concerns. I still visit them frequently, their site is easy to navigate and not cluttered with a bunch of bull**** I could really care less about.

They get straight to the point and thats what I like, I like reading news articles and not about past junk or how one feels about something...Just straight news.

id be ashamed to go into print, poorly written, disjointed and poorly presented.

(thats a thread with a link not an article from boxing scene by the way.) :boxing:

Fight News is probably my favorite just out of habbit. It was the first boxing page I started going to back like 5-6 years ago. Still the first page I go to. They're pretty good, though yeah they've had some instances when they were wrong. I can't think of specific examples, but I know they have been wrong.

BTalk, I like it myself. Hate that they charge. To me, that is them exploiting fighters. Same with MaxBxing. And I think the MaxB crew is more up their own asses than BTalk. At least you can get some real time correspondance with the Btalkers. I've talked to Leon on the phone a couple times. If that site didn't charge, it'd probably be the best site.

Btalk gets the actual fighters on there and has the best interviews, which is why I like it.

Boxingscene, definitely the best forums. That's the reason I come here. Really, I haven't checked the news here in a while. Boxingscene doesn't break that many stories honestly. But they post Pedro Fernandez's stuff on here and are far less politically involved, which is what I do like. BTalk and Fight News have some sort of lame ass war going, which Fight News at least never responds to on their actual front pages. BTalk loves taking jabs at FN. It makes it look unprofessional.

I know, who am I to talk about being unprofessional? I'll cuss anybody out at the drop of a dime if they piss me off. But I mean, that's on these forums. I'd never do a lot of what I do on here in a professional atmosphere or a front page atmosphere. But the only ones reading these forums are other forum posters. Not all boxing fans. There's a big difference.

I have no idea what Runw/knives problem is. I don't think there is anything wrong with Boxingscene.com If there was, this I would have not started this thread. Boxingscene is a good enough website to allow a healthy discussion about other websites in the forums. I don't have a favorite web site, that’s why I posted this thread; I thought maybe there is something better out there where people are in favor of intelligent discussion about boxing, not redundant clichés or vulgar talk! -- And look what happened: the first response is vulgar! The man cursed me out. I don't care because I don’t know him, but I think he was trying to help boxingscene.com, yet there is no doubt that he is hurting it. Also, he provided us with a perfect example to start this thread. Are the forums at ********boxing the same way?

I typically go to ******** Boxing (http://www.********boxing.com) for news and information that I can't find here. And I also go to The Sweet Science (http://www.thesweetscience.com) for some more information. But since I find a relatively decent boxing forum, I stay here.
