do you think he will be a legitimate contender. he looked imressive in his victory over mccline, and showed some heart. he has some good skills, but he might be a bit small for some of the super heavyweights

also on boxrec both chris byrd and james toney have fights in msg o the same night, so a possible unification fight could be in the process

Right now he nothing more than a decent heavyweight contender, he will have to beat someone bigger to really make a splash. How about Brock vs. Peter?

maybe brock and sam peter can fight to see who's the best up and coming heavyweight, but it's unlikely at the moment

brock right now looks a better fighter than the one dimensional sam peter

All I know is Brock beat McCline more convincingly than Byrd...
and his won was not controversial AT ALL

if it was a 12 round fight he may have had a chance of stopping him

I thought McCline looked REALLY sloppy in the Brock fight. Maybe it was Brocks style that gave him problems.

may be a bit small...may not be an Ali or Tyson...

BUT

unlike many up and comers...he is a welcome addition to the division...heart, courage, will, combinations, decent pop, decent speed, confidence, smart, has a head on his shoulders...

I totally agree!

There are Punchers and there are Boxers..
I would put Brock in a same category as Byrd and Toney.
Peter would have to join Tyson and is a different ball player.

Peter Vs. Brock would be a wrong fight! They are both great prospects and there is no need to eliminate one so early in their carrier. Maybe one day when they are both title holders, this would be a good match up. But right now, they bring the new excitement to the HW division, so why shoot one down?

brock will definantly be a contender in the near future. all he has to do is schedule a fight against a more established boxer. he would probably fit in at light heavyweight, i dont know if he could compete as well at heavy but we will see.

Others are: Rahman is already fighting Barrett. That only leave Peter and Whitaker. I already mentioned why he shouldn't fight Peter (read my post above) What "he has to do is schedule a fight against a more established boxer" are you talking about? Boxers don't "schedule" their own title shots.

Perhaps what you mean to say is, he needs more fights against quality opposition to better establish himself.
