Sugar Ray Leonard.

Cassius Clay had a 7 punch combo before he went to jail.

Gomez's three-punch combo (jab, lead, uppercut) in the Contender was fairly impressive.

SSR was good but young Clay would do it and you could watch all of the heart physically leave the opponent! Stuff would make you stand up in your living room and cheer even if you were alone.
A special time and a special fighter!

Mosley against a bunch of people he fought. Especially Adrian Stone. He completely stole off on that guy. Christ o mighty......he was just wailing away on the weaker fighter.

Douglas KO Tyson
Right Uppercut leaves Tyson stunned, Douglas lands a Right hook, then left hook while Tyson is falling, and KO's him. Unbelievable.

The combo that Roy Jones threw at Bryant Brannon. It was the most fastest combo I have ever seen in my life. He threw like 15 punches in less than like 4 seconds. After Roy threw those punches, he stopped for a brief moment, and asked the referee "should I keep going?" and ref said "yes" so he continued throwing his combos and finally knocked him down.

Besides roy jones/pazienza, gatti/gamache is the first that comes to mind, that was devastating, it looked like gatti was trying to kill him.

nah, its not really 44 but i always liked it cause thats what larry merchant says after its over("44 punch combo") its alot of very fast punches but some of the best combos he threw are in the brannon fight, at one point he throws 8 left hooks in a row, super fast! there's also a moment in the percy harris fight when he lands 4 left hooks in one second  no **** either, ive timed it

I counted 49 :) that was my pick as well, Roy knew his opponent was hurt and he busted out a ridiculousy fast rat-ta-tat-tat while Thornton was trapped in the corner, best combo in history...

Roy's 6 punch combo to Drop Paz for the 3rd time ranks #2 in history

A special time and a special fighter!

Fascinating that a heavyweight could actually pull that combo off and still be accurate. Cassius did it so fast that his opponent could muster only a 1 punch counter. By that time, Cassius was gone.

What a legend he was.

LATE IN THE FIRST HEARNS fight when Sugar Ray had Tommy a little dazed and he let loose with a flurry of overhand lefts and rights that brought Tommy down to the bottom strand of the ropes. That was some serious DETERMINATION

He took the fight to Hearns. He basically stopped boxing and turned into Duran and planted his feet and let loose his combos coz he knew points wise, he was losing. Therefore, he had everything to lose and it was bombs away.

The flurry vs. Vargas was awesome, forgot about that one, like Lamps said he made "Vargas eat his words"...

the flurry vs. Quartey looked like round 15 in Rocky 1

Top 7 fighters with great flurry/combination abilities:

meldrick taylor, leonard, pryor, paciauo, ouma, byrd, tyson.

I'm suprised byrd hasn't been mentioned, back when he had shorter hair he used to throw more 5+ punch combos, especially when he was boxed in against the ropes...alot like srl

the reason he doesnt do it anymore is cuz now hes fighting #1 contenders, in the hw div u cant **** around with 6 punch combos all the time when your at the top. especially with his style, he should pull a b-hop and rely on his counterpunch ability more.

My vote would also go to Jones Jr, but against Glenn Thomas.

At the end of the 7th round, with 14 seconds remaining, Jones begins a Combo that ends at the bell with a violent left hook that puts Thomas down and out.

In between were too many shots to count. Lefts and rights, upstairs and down, shoe shining, and all non stop. The final
blow was a huge single punch KO after what must have been 30-50 consecutive shots.

Its probably one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

Floyd Mayweather put down Corley with six shots right at the start of the round. Sounded like pistol shots, one right after another. Pretty cool, I don't think Corley knew what hit him.

My favourite has got to be

The Prince: Naseem Hamed VS. Armando Castro

I think the fight was in 1994 and his combo had too many punches in it. U no in training wen u hit the target mitts and u do like a 50 punch combo, it was one of those on Castros's head!!

:boxing: "I didnt c him win a round actually, but i was boxing his head off" :boxing: ;)

Same fight in the 13th round, Leonard got Hearns hurt and unleashed a series of hooks and uppercuts. All you see is Hearns head snap back left right up down, it was disturbing and beautifull to watch.

Micky Ward.. in Ward-Gatti I. I think it was in the last seconds of round 5.

Yeah man, that was crazy. He completely came out of nowhere landing like 4 clean left-right hooks back to back, and then followed up with like a body shot and more headshots. Was really where the show began and we knew Ward was still in it.
BTW-Was that true someone said about Roy Jones landing 43 shots or something to TKO guy in 3rd rd? Was that 43 shots nonstop with him defenseless or what? :boxing:

**** that....Sugar Ray Leonard had the most disgusting flurries I ever seen.

It was like right when the guy thought he had him cornered you would see this 17 punch combo come out of no where, hitting the head and body.

He had more combos than Killer Instinct..

Ray Robinson and Joe Louis were the best combination punchers i have ever seen. Their blend of power, speed, accuracy, and textbook precision were unparalleled.

Joe Louis showed flashes of his former self in his rematch against Jersey Joe Walcott and threw what seem to be a million consecutive left-right combinations. I always like that one.

You want good combos, watch the Salvador Sanches fights against Wilfredo Gomez, Little Red Lopez and Azuma Nelson. there's great combos in just about every round.
