roach outthought himself.

i think he saw what floyd did and thought the best way to fight jmm is to let him lead at times , be economical with your punches and not give jmm counterpunching opportunities.

but that's not how pac fights.

limiting jmm's counterpunching chances also limits pac's offensive chances.

you gotta have your fighter do what he does best. even when sometimes it plays into the other opponents strengths.

let jmm counter all he wants as long as pac gets his as well.

pac is stronger , pac is faster , pac has the better chin , pac is more powerful......the odds favor him in a shootout even if he is getting countered.

by trying to be economical with his punches and trying to box more , he let jmm get comfortable and fight at his pace.

wild , reckless pac would have wore jmm down at this weight , at this age.

I illegally streamed from the US. The commentary was f*cking dire. Emanuel Steward kept going on about how tight Pacs abs and butt looked. It was disgusting.

pacquiao definitely won the 3rd fight imo

1,3,4,9,10,12 are rounds that i think you would really need to stretch to say jmm won.

i have to admit, i watched it first on a bad stream with a very biased jmm announcer and i thought that pac was going to get a draw...

after i saw a more fluid and clear version, i think there is absolutely no doubt that pacquiao won.

he landed more shots by far [you dont even need compubox to confirm this] and frankly did far more damage...i dont get the feeling jmm ever really damaged pac other than a few punches in round 5.

pacs defense was really good - he blocked a lot of shots and took no punishment other than a headbutt.

in my book, pac won all 3 fights of the trilogy.

edit: i only realise today how biased most ppl on this site are against pac.....87% thought jmm won? LOL

how can anyone possibly give jmm 7 rounds needed to win?

"i just wish nobody gets hurt in this fight".. i mean deep inside his heart, he don't want to kill or get killed in the ring anymore.. gone were the no fear days.. he must have evolved into a better boxer but the fighter inside him regressed.. by a lot..

Para sa akin, nakita ko parin yung killer instinct ni Pac. Much better than the Mosley fight at least. Pero yung problema na notice ko ay parang hindi na nya gustong mag invest sa strategy part nang boxing. Rare na nakikita ko siyang mag set up nang trap katulad nong ginawa nya kay Cotto and Hatton. Traps like slowly getting his opponent into a corner then attacking. Parang nag fall in love na si Pac with his speed and athleticism. Kahapon, suwerte siya na just enough yung ginawa niya and nag slow down si JMM.

Nag play into their hands talaga si Pac/Roach kasi gusto nilang e prove na mas maraming boxing skills na si Pac ngayon. I guess totoo talaga yung sinabi ni Nacho. Na mas ma easy na itong fight na ito kasi more conventional na si Pac at hindi na siya "wild" meaning na everywhere yung attack niya, katulad nang dati.

i look at the nsb topics and i see some saying stuff like pac knows he lost.

wtf? pac knows he won - he said it all in the inteview ; he caught al his punches and jmm didnt even scratch him, he only hurt him with a headbutt, low blows and stepped on his feet all night.

i think skip bayless got it right; this was just a tough workout and manny did not dominate, but he was still the clear winner...

watch the fight in slow motion; pac outlanded jmm in almost every round. he was the aggressor in every round. his defense was just as good; look at their faces after the fight, seriouly...

ang galing naman ng conditioning coach ni JMM kung ganun.

agree ako sa iyo parekoy... yung game plan nila na in and out with 2-3 combos ay hindi laro ni pac. dapat and game plan ay hindi lubay ng suntok dahil kaya ni pac suntok ng kalaban. napatunayan na yun sa mga unang laban. yung kalaban naman ay palaging tumba sa sabayan.

Para sa akin, nakita ko parin yung killer instinct ni Pac. Much better than the Mosley fight at least. Pero yung problema na notice ko ay parang hindi na nya gustong mag invest sa strategy part nang boxing. Rare na nakikita ko siyang mag set up nang trap katulad nong ginawa nya kay Cotto and Hatton. Traps like slowly getting his opponent into a corner then attacking. Parang nag fall in love na si Pac with his speed and athleticism. Kahapon, suwerte siya na just enough yung ginawa niya and nag slow down si JMM.

Nag play into their hands talaga si Pac/Roach kasi gusto nilang e prove na mas maraming boxing skills na si Pac ngayon. I guess totoo talaga yung sinabi ni Nacho. Na mas ma easy na itong fight na ito kasi more conventional na si Pac at hindi na siya "wild" meaning na everywhere yung attack niya, katulad nang dati.
