View Full Version : Question for the guys and gals
The1God 05-02-2005, 01:43 PM I use both, I prefer a blade but use electric for the time and conveince factor. The reason I thought about this, I was shaving while I was drunk and ****ed up the side of my beard. The wife refuses to use an electric too.

Shick quattro sucks ass,it pulls your hair more it shaves.
Mach 3 turbo is the best you dont feel ****, I know this cause I shave my head every other day.
puppy_dogg 05-02-2005, 01:52 PM i need to get one of those cause im tired of this razor burn on my balls
wilkinson or mach 3 turbo are the best , but the blades arent durable enough , they end up being expensives.
The Troll 05-02-2005, 01:55 PM I use electric, my skin is to soft and sensitive for anything else, its gets badly irritated if I shave with a razor.

:p
Just joking..chill out.
The1God 05-02-2005, 04:52 PM If I shave with an electric for a month and switch back to my Mach3 (Awesome razor) I break out, then my face gets used to it. It happens when I switch back to electric after too. Not nearly as bad. As for my balls, I burn those hairs off.

I shave the top and then let my girl pluck the ones on balls, then i take a shower and get a wonderfull reward for it. :D
The Fix 05-02-2005, 05:38 PM i use electric, its so easy and its self cleaning....plus you dont need shaving cream and you dont get razor burn
the only down side is that it may not get as close as a razor
btw where do you buy those razors from back in the day that open up like a pocket knife my grandpa had one and it was cool as fuc. i think you sharpen it with a peice of leather.

Any local store that I can buy it at?
AgonYx0 05-02-2005, 06:04 PM i use venus, and then i put baby oil all over so i dont get shaving bumps.
Prostitroop 05-02-2005, 06:20 PM Mach 3 Turbo... That vibrating feature doesn't do much good thought. The regular Mach 3 is just as good... The vibrating feature is just some worthless marketing gimmick.

That feature works great on clits.
doesnt do **** for the shaving though.
m00ks 05-02-2005, 06:35 PM What's the difference between Mach 3 and Mach 3 Turbo besides 5 bucks?

I think the turbo blades are a lot better and last a little longer

It's called a "Straight Razor", and no, it isn't the closest shave you can get. I used to use one when I was younger, but a good double (or triple) edge Gillette shaves closer. The only real advantage to a straight razor is never having to buy blades. However, if you don't know how to sharpen the straight razor, you're better off just setting fire to your face....the hair will be just as gone, and your face won't be as red as if you shaved with a dull straight razor. Sharpening a razor is almost a form of art...took me months to learn how to do it. THe up-side of that is, I can now put a lethal edge on any knife.
Anyway, when I bother shaving, I use clippers to mow the longer stuff off, then an electric to shave more closely around my goat and 'stache.

Most barbers (the few that are left) use a straight razor that is a single edged replacable blade these days....too much time and trouble to keep an old fashioned straight razor clean and sharp.
You can probably buy one online somewhere, but again...the shave with a good double edge razor is closer. I still have a couple of my grandfather's razors, but never use them anymore.
