Hi everybody,

So i was watching some boxing matches the other night and couldn't help but notice the average arm lenght of fighter around my size, and i think i could have a pretty big advantage here.

The thing is i have really short legs but a very long upper body and arms. To be more precise, my legs are only about 31.5'' but the other half is 38'' making a ruff 5ft 9 total.(to put that in perspective, on an average person this is divided 50/50)

But now for the interesting part: my reach is 74'' and my arm length to fist is about 28''(i have a lean frame). And i noticed most fighters my height usually have about 24/25'' arms.

I have always hated my body build and this might be the first time it brings something positive. I really like kickboxing but my legs are simply to short to pack serious power.

Thanks,
Anthony

You would have an advantage in a competition where they are looking for the missing link between ape and man.

Haha yeah i was already expecting some jokes. But don't worry iv'e heard them all before. And seriously, sometimes when carrying shopping bags i have to be carefull not to drag them on the floor. Try picturing Michael Phelps only with shorter legs. :lol1:

But arm length is measured from beginning of the armpit to knuckles right?

Well that's a long arm length yes but that doesn't really mean you will be a good fighter.

Once you get punched in the face you'll see if boxing is for you or not.
