i know i do---i became a huge admirer and fan of hers this past summer--it was like God put her in my life--she passed away over 14 years ago--i was 8 at the time--but i really wish to God i was a fan of hers when i was younger---i mean--i'm an african american male, and she has me listening to spanish music like it's the only music that exists---

i don't even know spanish--and listen to the songs just because she was something special--watching videos of her on youtube and the movie portrayal of her, i couldn't help but fall in love with her---she seemed to have that effect on so many people who came to know her---she was very sweet and genuine and down to earth and goofy and could put a smile on anyone's face---my heart to this day goes out to her family---they lost an angel, so did her fans and friends, but Heaven gained one--i know she has become my guardian angel and i look to her for comfort because she has that impact on my heart--she was so special and she was taken before her time--she has become one ofthe most important people in my life--i have never had anyone who i've never even met a day in my life touch my heart like she has--and i may never have this feeling again--so i cherish everything about about this woman and i wish she was here so much because she was everything good about the music industry and she had that humility that put her over the tp and on her own level---she was/is the tejano queen---la reina del tex-mex---i had to make a thread about this because she means that much to me--i hope to God to see her one day--until then--i keep her spirit around me---rest in peace selena quintanilla---some of my favorite songs by her are:

dreaming of you
si una vez
como la flor
costumbres
no me quede mas
i could fall in love
bidi bidi bom bom
dulce amor
bailia esta cumbia
si la quieres
i'll never get over you

there are much more i love of her also, but i'll keep it at that for now--you guys and girls listen to her?

Well I must admit I'd rather look at her than "jam" to her music...but not so much cuz I don't like her voice but she's just not my stilo....but it's all good...if you dig her more power to you dawgy....as long as you don't go dressing like her or imitating her with a fake mic or what not...ahhaha.....but nah seriously....I couldn't see what that moron posted cuz I put him on ignore for being a fa99 so he has no room to talk...now I can see he is just a troll looking to get under people's skin....so don't sweat him.....but any how Selene did have a phat booty no lie.!!!!!!!!

yes she did---and she had a very nice body--and i have to admit--that i love looking at her also--but in her situation---i rather focus on her legacy than her looks--but i do see what you mean--she did--she was a gerogeous woman with a beautiful heart(which is all that matters anyway)---and i don't care about what those other posters commented on---even *******s have opinions---thanks for an honest response--

no but I know lots of her songs just because my sisters (10 and 12 years older than me and I'm 24) were huge fans when Selena was "the" **** before she died. I remember how she even sang some songs with Bronco and at that time Bronco was also huge. So yeah, its just one of those things that for some weird reason stay with you.

Where did the feeling go is one of the most depressing songs ever.whatever i guess---bottom line is this---selena is a legend and she was taken before her time, but i believe God had a higher calling for her---i became a fan of hers last summer, or i least i thought i did---but in looking more into it, she started to mean more than that to me---she became my guardian angel---it's like God put her into my life for a reason---i was 8 when she passed away, and i watched some coverage on her passing, but i was young, i'm african american, and listened to hip hop and mainly american made music---so all i saw of her of what i can remember was her passing and the amor prohibido video---so i don't know how to explain how she came into my life last summer other than God putting here for a sign to me---she seemed, from her videos on youtube and people wo knew her, that she was down to earth, very passionate about her craft, cared so much for her fans, loved her family with all of her heart, she seemed so easy-going, and in a way, she reminded me of a cool older sister--she was a beautiful woman, with an amazing talent and gift----she was about to cross over to american mainstream music---she had tejano music in the grasp of her hands, which is why se won an tejano music award every year for years---but selena to me was put into my life for a specific reason--she was 23 when she was killed---i'm 23 years old now, and i really got into her when i just about turned 23, and my lifestyle is not too healthy---so did God put her into my life to tell me i am going to pass away 16 days before my 24th birthday like she did---or was she put into my life to help me change my drinking habits, smoking habits, popping pills habits, is she really my guardian angel like i think? i claim her as my guardian angel, but only God can really assign her that job----i have never let anyone this deep into my heart like i've done with this woman---she was so beautiful, seemed so compassionate, simplistic, and had a great sense of humor, she didn't take life so serious it seemed, and she lived life to her highest potential---and her ending was historic to say the least, and i cry watching the tribute videos people made o her and are still making--because she hit a nerve with her fans and people who came to experience her in their lives---she did with me and i have never met her---now that she is gone, and has been gone for almost 15 years from this world, her legacy will encounter another year of heatache from her family, her fans, and the woman who took her life, yolanda saldivar---selena, i love you so much, and even though i never met you in person, i miss you, but i regard you as my guardian angel, and i thank God for you, and your family i'm sure loves you so so much and misses you so so much, and they think about you everyday, and they can't wait to see you in the afterlife---i pray you look over them, your fans, and me to help us see the light----i'm sorry what happened to you---that's not how a person should be taken out---you deserved to pass away at an old age, peacefully--you earned that imo---i love you la reina del tex mex---and thank you God for putting her into my life and my soul and my heart---may you always rest in peace selena quintanilla perez---my hero, my angel---my heart--i'll see you soon---

c'mon, both of her parents are chicanos...it ain't her fault that her first language was english, when she moved to corpus christi is when she got into tejano (during her teens) and after that it's history.

i'm pretty sure she was proud of her mexican ancestry.
