This is a complete missmatch as Ali would beat Holyfield in any part of the game. They might be tied about their heart and desperation but than again Holyfield never went to prison for his opinions. Ali wins 12 out of 12 in a boring UD.

All FANTASY fights are scheduled for 15 rounds....the way championship fights oughtta be.

But, I concur with your take on the fight.
Ali would pepper Holyfield throughout the whole fight.

Ali would KO holyfield if were talkin about both of them being in there prime, ALI had the skill power stamina and speed to take holyfield down without a problem. Holyfield in his prime was alot more relaxed, and ali usually took down "relaxed" fighters quicker.

Ali would win a UD and probably make Evander look very pedestrian for the majority of the bout. Actually I don't think this would be a great match up. Holyfield - Holmes comes to mind only with Ali scoring enough to take the decision.

i think holyfields recent fights are starting to take away from his greatness. i think it would be a great fight not easy for anyone, but i would take holyfield by SD. man this would be great fight. i think it would just just like ali/frazier 1

i dont think it would be as one-sided as many think it would be. But in saying that, Ali would still take a fairly easy UD.

Stop taking those 'idiot' pills, because they are working. You live in a strange world if this is what you consider a 'fantasy fight' I'm surrounded by mental midgets.........

I know i'm in the minority here, but i'll go with the upset and say Holyfield outworks him for close decision. Regardless, can't see either fighter knocking other out. Both were just too damn tough, physically but even more mentally.

Agreed about neither fighter getting KO'd, but I could see both getting knocked down in the fight at least once, but it would go the distance and I'll take Ali UD, in rounds, 9-6.

Actually this is a fight I really wish I could see. The main problem Holyfield would have is being a litle on the small side in his prime. I guess the main question would be speed. Ali was quick but So was Holyfield. I would have to give it to Ali though in a fairly close decision. Though I will say Holyfield is one of the few since him that I feel could have put up a real good fight against Ali. Only one with a chance to beat him would be Lewis in my opinion.

I don't think it would be that lopsided, especially since Holy always fought his best against the toughest opponents. Holy always fought above what his "paper stats" were. I could see this as another Ali-Norton type affair, whereas Norton had Ali's number. On paper Norton was overmatched, but he gave Ali all that he wanted. Don't forget Holy was very smart in the ring as well. He knew for the most part when to bang and when to box. Only way this fight is stopped is if one of the corners step in ala The Thrilla in Manila. In a three fight series, Ali takes two decisions, one controversial, and Holy takes one decision.
