View Full Version : trying to get that Bruce Lee/Manny Pacquiao/basketball player "ripped" look
Allen_Poe 05-01-2005, 11:34 AM Whats the best way to achieve this look? I'm pretty skinny (6'1" 150 lbs) and I'm not trying to bulk up. I would like to achieve this "ripped" look that Bruce Lee and most basketball players to a certain extent have. Any links, tips, routines, what to/what not to do, anything, would be appreciated. peace
spinksjinx 05-01-2005, 12:06 PM You are pretty lean, you are skinny for your height and no doubt about it.
Since you are wanting to get lean and not bulky, keep a clean diet.
I recommend cardio and calisthenics...
Bag work is awesome as well.
Plenty of exercise routines listed here to help you, but it also leads to a lean and strict diet.

you could be the next Thomas Hearns
except when he was 6 feet he fought at the 132 pound weight class as a amateur....
Allen_Poe 05-02-2005, 01:37 AM I look more like Diego Corrales than anything, except im not as cut/ripped. i JUST really got up to 150 lbs, usually im the in 140 - 147 lbs range
Hunna 05-02-2005, 06:44 AM weights, fast bag work, sprint work are some good ones. weights give u thye ripped effect, depending on how u lift it. ya need 2 do some weights.

czars_salad 05-03-2005, 04:57 AM enroll in a fitness center and ask for a program that will suit your needs ;)
The Pretender 05-03-2005, 11:06 AM Just don't eat for 10 days and you'll look just like Manny.
I Suggested going to the gym and bulking by lefting heavy wieghts. After you think your big enough, stop lifting heavey and start lefting light weights but for for a larger number of reps.. That accompanied by good cardio and proper diet would IMO get you looking like Bruce lee :D
stonehenge 06-01-2005, 07:11 AM i suggested you buy HYDROXICUT from GNC it rocks...:D
kapersky 06-01-2005, 09:34 AM try to get as low bodyfat as possible... :)
do u want there abs or just there figure
Just don't eat for 10 days and you'll look just like Manny.
That's funny but I actually did that and my physique was Pac-man like, but I didn't really realize how dangerous it was 'cause I was like consuming about 1,200 or less a day for a certain period. There's nothing more I can add to what's already been mentioned by other members so just keep a clean diet by eating lots of salads and stay away from fat and do lots of supersets and tri - sets if you are into lifting and just keep up w/ your boxing workout if you are a practitioner of the sport and you'll be rip in no time. Again don't do what I did don't let your calorie intake dip the way I did it, be smart and have fun! You might wanna do less cardio since it sounds like you already have a fast metabolism but just need to get that ripped physique.
