check your messages guys ... sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Do as I said and it's almost a dead cert you'll see the fight. You do need a half way decent connection though.

You'll need the latest Winamp (not the lite one).

I have a 1 meg connection and it's totally watchable.

I signed up to the site but can`t find the pay per view listing for Ruiz and toney, how do i find it?

Once you have the ppv membership, it means you have access to the ppv material.

What you do:

Go to the Streams area of the forum. There you'll see 12 channels. When the fight's about to start, one of those channels will be titled Boxing, or Toney vs Ruiz or maybe HBOPPV ... you get the picture.

Click on the channel and you'll be taken to a login screen. Find the login allocated to PPV subscribed users and login. This will launch winamp and you'll be streamed the fight.

Dont worry that it isn't listed in the schedule or that nobody's 'announced' it. They never do, just stay tuned to the Streams area.

They've never let me down before now and I've been watching US fights since Morales vs Pacquiao. They even showed Froch's last fight.

That doesn't guarantee it'll be shown, but their record is 100% for me.

Ok, i`ll give it a go, apparently i also get access to Premiership matches too, not that theres much point since Chelsea bought, i mean won the title today!

Footie does nothing for me, but knock yourself out.

If you like movies you should also check out the stream for 'the Wooter Station'. They show a very cool selection of films. Last night I watched 'Hostages', 'Hotel Rwanda' and 'Soul Plane' ... 2 outta 3 aint bad :D

You had to pay to register? Have I done it wrong?

What time will it start anyway? 4am for Limeys?

Thanks again, Hayefan... we're not trying to sound ungrateful here, we're just a pair of dumbasses.

No, but you have to pay in order view the PPV stuff. It sort of upgrades your account so that you're allowed to login to the restricted streams.

Dunno what time it starts. Hopefully they'll show the undercard too so tune in at the time the fight's supposed to start.

Ah! Dear? I'd certainly pay a fair whack for it?

Oh - help a moron - can I record the stream?

No worries. When you realise the magnitude of the door this has opened for you, I'm sure you'll be as hooked on it as I am.

Seriously, this thing changed my life as a boxing fan ... no more avoiding a result for days, waiting for the fight to download, no more hanging on round by round threads, hitting refresh like a mofo. Being able to just stretch out in front of your TV, a nice spliff or 3 on the go and tuning into 'the big saturday fight' is priceless :D

What's wrong man, where are you getting stuck?

It costs like £1.50 for a month's access to PPV events (UFC, Pride, K1 and of course, boxing). £4.50 for 3 months access.

HayeFan

Yeah, but you need to download a plugin for winamp called Stream Ripper.

£4.50 for three months? That's peanuts for fights, I'm there!

Ok, first go and restart your pc.

Then re-download winamp, and make sure you download the fullest version you can, none of this 'lite' ****.

Try that and if it isn't working come back and let me know.

By the way, what channel were you testing?

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 08:12 PM
Oh wait, do you mean when you login to the site, or the stream?

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 08:13 PM
Also make sure you allow your firewall to OK winamp.

Kimmy
04-30-2005, 08:14 PM
Its the stream i can`t login, but i`ll adjust my fire wall! and re - fire up my laptop!

I'm getting "can't be used on AOL Player"... I need to download winamp to watch it, right? (You'll be beginning to wish you'd never mentioned it, won't you, HF? :) )

AOL player?? ... no idea.

Maybe you have that AOL player set as your default streaming program, mine was windows media player, not sure how to change it, maybe check preferences or options in winamp.

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 08:23 PM
Weird tho, usually winamp sets itself as the default on install, did you install it?

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 08:25 PM
If that doesn't work, there's a way of posting the url (including your username and password) directly into winamp, by selecting 'open URL'.

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 08:29 PM
AOL are evil man, you need to ditch 'em. My bro has AOL and he's had nothing but trouble.

HayeFan

Someone mentioned that the fight was now listed in the calendar and will probably be streamed within an hour or so.

HayeFan

(You'll be beginning to wish you'd never mentioned it, won't you, HF? :) )

Nah, someone took me through it when I started too, I'm sure you'll do the same some day for someone else in your predicament :D

check your messages Kimmy and Anorak, I forgot something.

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 08:59 PM
I just noticed that the thread got moved.

I hope this hasn't pissed off any admins too much :D

I didn't post the link in here, and you can 'sort of' justify it on moral grounds as this thread was aimed at brits who have no other alternative as it isn't being broadcast in the UK.

!! Anorak
04-30-2005, 09:18 PM
You're doing a grand job, HayeFan! :)

Just got it via internet explorer... AOL is a pain!

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 09:38 PM
Cool, now let's just hope they show it after all that :D

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 09:39 PM
Thats a shame about playing it through IE, with winamp you can go fullscreen.

!! Anorak
04-30-2005, 09:55 PM
Oh, I do get it via Winamp... I mean, when I go online via Internet Explorer it overrides the earlier problem I was talking about... the stream doesn't try and go to a player that won't work, it goes to Winamp as it should do...

Channel 2, yeah?

HayeFan
04-30-2005, 09:58 PM
Yeah, should be on after this President TV drama thingy.

!! Anorak

Hayefan, you get all my points. Granted, I'd used most of 'em up so there's only 90,000 in there, but it's with all good wishes.

Even if I never watch another stream £4.89 was a small, small price to pay. And no undercard to sit through either - bonus!

HayeFan
05-01-2005, 06:44 AM
I think it was a shame they didn't have the undercard. If it had've been a part of the PPV I guess we would've got it.

I'm gonna give you half of your points back, I forgot to tell you not to worry about it.

!! Anorak
05-01-2005, 08:41 AM
I never enjoy the undercards to fights like this, because I'm usually so excited over the main event I can't focus on 'em.

As for the points - you deserve 'em!

How come you guys had to pay? I know the site you are on about and watched the fight for free!

!! Anorak
05-01-2005, 09:34 AM
Serious? I think it was because we'd signed up for PPV... so this one wasn't a PPV fight then?

tntkid
05-01-2005, 09:53 AM
Yeah, seriously. I only found the site about an hour before the fight, signed up and didn't have to pay jack!

As far as I know you have to pay for anything being streamed which is PPV. It may be that by subscribing you're guaranteed a spot, but I dont think so.

What's your username at the site TNT?
