If Ridick Bowe won 5 fights in a row and got down to 245 pds would he beat Samuel Peter, they are similar fighters in alot of ways IMO. Except Bowe was way more skilled when he was younger than Peter probably will ever be.

If those 5 fights happen in the next 2.5 year.. (he fights every 6 month) Big Daddy will be 40! He should be fighting Holifield again and no one near the top 10 or even 20..
But hey, Hopkins is 40 and still very much in the game, but Hopkins is one of a kind and Hopkins is not fighting at HW.

Yet if they were to fight sooner.. I think Bowe, the veteran, has a good chance. And he that same good chance against any of the title holders. Problem is, being ranked 56 (boxrec) he has a loooong way to go before he gets a title shoot (like you said 5 wins) By then Peter 'could' be a world champion and Bowe will be OLD!

Sam Peter would knock him out, Bowe is too old.

If they fight now, Peter knocks him the **** out. If they fight a few years from now, and Bowe takes some time to work off the rust, Peter still knocks him the **** out because Bowe will be older and Peter will be even better than he is now.

No matter what, Peter demolished him.

I have not seen any of Bowes recent fight but from what I read they were not too impressive. I would have to go with the youngster on this one. Peter by knockout if it is within 6 rounds.
