He is pretty popular in Aussie boxing circles. Definately one of the most popular of the old breed. He's really the only old Aussie fighter I have ever heard my old man speak about.

Nah Darcy was before his time. I've seen a few shows about Darcy though, pretty interesting ****.

Yeah, the forum is pretty dull. Unfortunately even mg and brently don't post on here that much anymore and they used to be two of the main contributors.

The main contributors now are philfy, counterpuncha/counter right (who I'm pretty sure is a kostaytszyu alt?), boxing great, greatwhitehope, cace, and a few others. It can get pretty quiet.

Rose was truly a great Australian fighter. I too have heard **** loads about him from my dad.

I have a few of his fights on DVD and can say that he was a great boxer, great style. I think he was so well schooled as a fighter.

Rose was great for sure....top 3 aussies were Darcy, Rose and Sands IMO

Shame Rose didnt get out before his losses as he was a shadow of his former self in the last 5 years.
